Burning Brain Honours Socially Responsible Creative People

Burning Brain Society honoured people from different walks of life who have been creating awareness about social issues through their creative talents. Seventeen students too were honoured for their creative mind which reflected in their artistic works.

Among those honoured are; Mr. Attar Singh of command hospital has been honoured for penning lyrics, singing and creating songs on social themes like HIV, AIDS, Tobacco and Environment. Dr. Devinder Pal Singh Sehgal has been honoured for spreading awareness about environment and tobacco abuse through his environment friendly kites. Mr. Rakesh Walia for highlighting the role of Philately in creating health awareness through his presentations. Mr. Kaushik Sinha and Ms. Parveen, both art teachers, for conducting art workshops for students and polishing the creative talents of youngsters. 

The other youngsters who were awarded are Udaiveer, DVRS Rohit, Anushka Sharma, Akanksha Sharma, Sushant, Sahil Juneja, Hardeep Singh, Komal Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, Deepak, Mainak Pal, Shivika Sharma, Vinay Thakur, Richa Sarin, Sonia Sahni, Simranjeet Singh and Savitu Agnihotri. 

Mr. Aditya Prakash the renowned artist and architect who worked with the creator of Chandigarh Le Corbusier, was the chief guest and presented the awards. Speaking on the occasion he asked the youngsters to continue their creative journey for social good. Mr. V. N. Singh, Director Government Museum was also present as a guest of honour, he shared his views on the role of art in bridging the gap between past and present. 

Hemant Ramtirth Goswami, chairperson of the Burning Brain Society said that the society will always encourage talented young people to achieve new heights, he emphasised that creativity not necessarily reflects in creation of art objects alone but all scientific inventions, good writings, business successes, economical and political achievements, etc. are manifestation of creativity.
