Introduction

Abstract

This is an attempt to assemble all of the various ‘falsifications’ of the Great Genesis Flood of antiquity on the ChristianForums board. It examines all of the various claims of the first posts of the many threads and forms them as a question, listed in bold. Then the detailed response is given, if it is in the capacity of the author. It is the contention of this author that none of the various issues will hold up against a true and detailed examination of the evidence in question nor would it reveal a proper understanding of true creationist flood-models.

Process

This author searched back for over 40 pages worth of material on the forum itself and assembled all he could find, carefully recording the links to each for post-written examination to ensure a proper address of the issue at hand. No consideration was taken for the various posts below the main posts beyond the first initial one or two.

After assembling the various questions raised by the scoffers of the board in a list, the author then began a detailed examination (within the availability of his capacity) of all the various creationist models and articles pertaining to them, keeping in mind any objections to them. Unsubstanciated claims were not considered as they fall in the category of wishful thinking rather than science. The determination of unsubstanciated claims was whether or not they actually addressed a geologic issue. If they addressed a geologic issue, such as the Grand Canyon, it was considered substanciated even if it later was determined to be necessarily falsified. An unsubstanciated claim was one which was merely a fantasy or “just-so” story that attempted to explain away creationist responses or evidences.

After determining the evolutionist claims and examining the creationist models (which shall be described below as a proponant would), the author then began searching for scientific articles in creationist peer-reviewed journals such as TJ or CRSQ for additional data on specific formations, with the hopes of finding an actual technical article or discussion of the geologic formations highlighted in these threads as evidence against a global flood.
