I will come to your home or business and serve a lovely English tea for birthdays, showers, or special event, or just for the experience of an afternoon tea. I will bring all the china and serving pieces, along with delicious tea time food. Afternoon tea.....$20 per person (tax included) Minimum 8 people/Max 30 The adult tea parties will include a short history of tea and an introduction to the art of the afternoon tea. You will leave with the knowledge you need to have your own tea party. I do offer tea tastings at my tea parties. You and your guests will be able to try 3-4 different teas, along with hints on how to make it properly. Some teas will be available for sale also. This can be done during the last half hour of your party. I will provide all the tea cups and saucers, tea spoons, dessert plates, serving dishes, napkins, and sugar and cream, along with the food. I recommend a simple flower arrangement or candlesticks on the central table. The color scheme of my china is pink and spring flowers. I will arrive approximately one hour before your party to set up the table and warm the food. I will serve the tea, unless the hostess wishes to do so. Tips for serving the tea will be provided prior, if you wish. I will stay for a two hour party, after which time I will need to pack all my supplies. Any time over the two hour party (not including my cleanup)will be $10.00 per half hour. A deposit of half the total price will be required one month prior to the time of booking; the remainder being due the day of the party. I recommend reserving a date a couple months beforehand. I would request one week notice prior to the party regarding any change in the number of people, so I have time to adjust amounts of food needed. No refund on the deposit will be made on cancellations or no shows if I'm not notified before that week. **The hostess is responsible for replacement costs of any breakage that is incurred by guests** Menu Afternoon Tea Taylor's of Harrogate Earl Grey tea, scones, raspberry jam and cream, assorted finger sandwiches, savories, and dessert. Valarie works very hard to please and she does a good job. Her table settings are just beautiful, her hard working attitude is a plus and her beautiful stories are very enchanting. You will not be disappointed if you hire her to host your next tea party. She saved me tons of work and did 95% of the clean up too!
