Kaleidoscopic Vision

We disappear
To be never met again
And only exist in memory

We fade
Drifting through the walls
That you have attempted to hold up

At this moment
There are people everywhere
Some are asleep, some are on trains

The sleeping
Buried in the dreams
That shield them from reality

The commuters
Staring out the windows
And waiting for their station

Some stand
At the traffic lights
And wait for the green man

Red man
Is now flashing
And setting people free

Babies wait
But the outside world
Will eventually dissolve them

One second
And this scene changes
And will never go back to what it was

Little girl
Jumps from rooftops
And takes no notice below

People below
Scurry around like ants
And take no notice above

Lights blend
And in the next moment
The world is a kaleidoscope

We disappear
To be never met again
And only exist in memory

We fade
Drifting through the walls
That you have attempted to hold up
