Originally, GP9s had high short and long hoods to run long hood forward. The CN GP9RMs in service today have been rebuilt from these older GP9s by reducing the nose height to give visibility from the cab. They now usually run short nose forward.

Lastly is a regular 4138. As you recall this unit is the one with AR on the front, left over from its movie days in Kitchener.
