THE GP 9's
Originally, GP9s had high short and long hoods to run long hood forward. The CN GP9RMs in service today have been rebuilt from these older GP9s by reducing the nose height to give visibility from the cab. They now usually run short nose forward.

CN 4107 is a GP9RM, built by GMD in 1957 as GP9 4123, planned to be renumbered to GP9 4378 in 1984 but rebuilt before number could be applied rebuilt to GP9RM 4107:2 in 1984. eased to Chemin de Fer Charlevoix for a time in late 2001.The front unit is CN 4012 is a GP9RM, built 1957 as GP9 4482 rebuilt to 4012:2 in 1982.
