What's Going On? - As of June 2, 2003

Instead of doing this in point form like the other one, decided to do it this way, at least for this time. Might go back to point form.

Not much has changed with dad, he's still the same. About the only difference is that for the first time in must be over 40 years, he's outta work, just like the rest of the fishermen in the province.

But he's good, healthy as ever.

Johnny and Dennise became grandparents, again, tonight. Lindsay and her husband had their 3rd baby just a couple hours ago. So there's another new addition to the family, a little girl named Alannah Caitlan. Johnny had his 46th b-day in March. Dennis and Johnny also had their 26th wedding anniversary in April. Jake had his 22nd b-day in January and will be graduating from University in 2 weeks, and has been accepted at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan to study in the Faculty of Arts to get a degree in English, although he says he might change degrees, maybe even change faculties, so he'll be moving there during the last part of the summer with his g/f, and their 7 month old daughter, Morgan. Shamus is still living in Halifax, and will be going into his 3rd year of University. And Ashley turned 13 in April and will be going into grade 7.

Alex turns 44 tomorrow. Still at the same old job, and Anne is still at her same job. In a couple of days, they'll be celebrating their 22 wedding anniversary. Maitiú turned 21 yesterday. He'll be graduating from College in 2 weeks, and is thinking about applying at another College or University, probably UPEI to get a diploma in Adult Education from the Faculty of Education, but hasn't made up his mind. He's also got a new job, no longer a waiter, he's now working as a part-time delivery truck driver locally. Last month, he got engaged to his girlfriend of 2 years. And their son, Liam, is now 6 months old. Ciarán had his 19th b-day in April, so he's now legal age to drink...lol. He is still living in Halifax, and going into his 2nd year of Medicine at University. He's been with his g/f now for 4 months. Michelle is going into grade 10, and Andy is going into grade 5.

Zach, Laurie, and their 2 kids are moving from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia during the summer. Zach's a granddad again, so now he has 2 grandkids, from his sons from his previous relationships. His 1st grandkid was a girl (Tim's baby) and she's 5 months old now. Now Zach's other son, Shelton just had a baby boy a couple days ago. Zach & Laurie's sons, Andrew and Jason, are going into grade 8 and grade 7.

Chrissy had her 42nd b-day in April, her and Jason had their 13th wedding anniversary in May. Both of them are still at the same jobs, except Jason recently got a promotion from asst. manager to manager. Lauren is going into grade 7, and Blayne is going into grade 5. Both of the kids are really into playing soccor. So they'll be doing that most of the summer. Blayne will also be spending some of his time split between soccor and Keith. Hopefully, Keith's personality doesn't rub off on the poor b'ye.

Peter's family....not much as changed with them. Peter's still doing well, and hasn't had any more heart surgeries since the last 2 he had in September 2002. Jennifer is going into grade 12, so she's almost finished high school, one more year to go for her. Danielle is going into grade 9, and Jordan is going into grade 6.

Keith will be turning 40 this month, and as far as health goes....he might have some left in him. He's getting better though. He complains sometimes about the speech therapy and physical therapy, so he must be getting better...lol. His g/f just finished moving in with him yesterday, so now instead of just him and Jason sharing the house, now J.L.'s there too. Which Keith probably doesn't mind...lol. At least her 2 kids didn't move in too, then it'd be a little too crowded. Keith and J.L. have been dating for about a month & a half. But they knew each other years ago, and had dated long long long time ago, when they were about 15 or 16, but it didn't last long..like most relationships at that age. Sarah is still living in BC with her b/f, Darren. They've been going together now for about 10 or 11 months. So must be getting a little serious. Who knows though. Codey and his g/f are living together, and having a great time. They've been together now for about a year, maybe a month longer then that. Codey will be graduating College in 2 weeks. Keith got his GED about 7 months ago.

Nick had his 37th b-day in January. He and his wife had their 9th wedding anniversary in April. They're still living in New Brunswick. Jesse is going into grade 3, Natalie is going into grade primary, Hans-Josef is now 9 months old.

Scotty just had his 32nd b-day in May, and he wasn't too happy about it either. Scotty, like dad, and other fishermen, is out of a job. So, he's having to try and find a new job. So he's not too happy about that either. Scotty and Erin also had their 1st wedding anniversary in March. Their kids, Daniella & Codey just had their 1st b-day in May - same day as Scotty's b-day. As far as he's concerned, they were the best b-day gift he could ever have gotten in his entire life. Erin and Scotty's 3rd baby is due in August, so just a few more months to go. Erin also just had her 32nd b-day in March. Scotty also received his GED about 5 months ago. Scotty's dog, Shep, got put to sleep today. Scotty had Shep for about 9 years.

Kerry had her 31st b-day in March. Kerry & Mike are expecting a baby in March 2004. They've also adopted another child that will be arriving in July, bringing their total to 4 kids, and they both say that's the last for kids for them. 4 is plenty.

Julia and Adam will be having their 6th wedding anniversary in a few days. Their baby, Breanne is now 10 months old. Daniel will be going into grade 1. Both Julia and Adam are still in their same jobs.

Well, that's about it for updates, for this month at least. Will try to update again next month, but can't make any promises.
