Here I will show you what each of these buttons can do to your picture. 

Button: Actions:
Inserts a picture from a file.
Allows you to type on a picture
Creates a Thumbnail!

Will allow you to move the picture EXACTLY where you want it to go!!!
Brings forward, OR sends BEHIND... (text too!!!)
Rotates!!!    
Changes properties of the colors!
CROPS!!!
Sets a transparent color
Makes any picture become a Black and white !
Washes out or fades... the colors of a picture. 
Creates a bevel around the edge.  
Makes a picture that has been enlarged or shrunk look a little clearer.  I have used that tool on all the images I shrunk in here.

This creates hyperlink "HOTSPOTS" you can select one area of a picture to make into a hyperlink.
