Weight: one hundred to one hundred thirty pounds
Diet: antelopes and ostriches
Number of young: two to five
Home: Africa
The Cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world. The female gives birth three months after mating. The young weigh only nine to ten ounces at birth. Unlike some cats it creeps very slowly, close by, before speeding to pounce on it's victims. The parents form a lasting pair and the male is an attentive father. In spite of this, the death rate is very high.
