History of Claude Monet
Claude Monet was born November 14,1840. He lived in a pink stucco farmhouse in the village of Giverny in Normandy, Northern France. His family moved to the seaside city of Le Havre.He went to school there. Monet lived their until his death in 1926. After two years of military service in Algiers. Claude was a French painter .He was one of the world's greatest painters. When he came back from Algiers he met all kinds of artists like Jongkind ,Renoir, Sisley and, Bazille. In front of his house were islands flower beds and box plants. Some of his favorite places to draw is seas ,islands, rivers and, streams. Monet's idea to start painting outdoors is illustrated by the famous story concerning his favorite early works, Women in the Garden. He studied work on Constable and Turner. From 1871 to 1878 Claude lived in Argenteuiel, a place near the Seine near Paris. |
