The 1950's gave birth to rock n roll, a whole new sound. People like Elvis, Bill Haley and the Comets, Perry Como, Pat Boone, and Rosemary Clooney. These are just a few of the chart topping artists of the 1950's. This kind of music was very different than the music people were used to at this period of time. The kids liked it but most of the grown-ups didn't like it at all.
