                In the 1950's a lot of new inventions were coming out and being put on store shelves. New inventions that would help our country a great deal. New appliances were made such as the washing machines and dish washers. These inventions made life easier for house wives. The big invention of our century took off  in the 1950's, the television. Most families spent their free time together in front of TV.  By this time more than 3 million Americans had TVs in their homes.
