What are sea monkeys

home

Well they are the world’s only living, breathing INSTANT Pets. A true MIRACLE of nature, sea monkeys actually exist in SUSPENDED ANIMATION! While inside their tiny eggs, - yet unborn, they burn the "spark of life" for many years. Until such time as their parent (YOU) release them from their sleep, bringing them to life before your very eyes. What a thrill it is to sea your new pets grow up, start dating, and even have kids of there own. Sea-monkeys are a tiny form of aquatic life related to lobsters or crabs. Growing in harsh environments, like salty rock pools, they developed the ability to reproduce incredibly fast, and effectively suspend the life of their young in tiny eggs. One small thing, however. The success of sea-monkeys is way beyond the ken of mortals such as us - the monkeys look unbelievably gross. They're tiny insectoid spinal bony nasties less than the length of your fingernail. Sea Monkeys gained additional hipness when they were packaged with special containers called Ocean Zoos. These mini-aquariums have since become the definitive home for Sea Monkeys. Sea Monkeys gained another home when the Deluxe Sea-Monkey Speedway was introduced in 1974. This device, which took advantage of the fact that Sea Monkeys swim against the current, included "tracks" so the Sea Monkey owner could raise champion Sea Monkeys. Another success, the Speedway led to follow-ups like Sea-Monkey Cycle Race, Sea-Monkey Ski Trails, and Sea-Monkey Fox Hunt. There was also the Incredible Sea-Bubble, a mini-aquarium on a chain that could be worn as a necklace.

Are they Brine Shrimp?
Because fish eat and thrive on brine shrimp, for years they were collected as eggs or alive, to be sold as an aquarium "food." Although all along, brine shrimp had the very qualities that would, at a later date, make them one of the most desirable pets ever sold, it simply never "dawned" on anyone to consider them as anything other "fish food". Now, thanks to
Sea-Monkeys, this attitude has changed.

Although Sea-Monkeys are a species of brine shrimp, they are unique. We not only unlocked the most elusive secrets of their life cycle, we created new formulas to keep them alive under conditions found in the average home—an accomplishment never before achieved! Finally, after years of crossbreeding, we developed a hybrid. These amazing new hybrids grow larger and live longer than any "natural" variety of brine shrimp.
