The HDR (Heavy Duty Re-usable) model is designed for consumer use. HDR is constructed of four layers with the two outer layers being a thin plastic, highly perforated to allow the water to soak in during the initial hydration. The two inner layers encapsulating the water absorbing polymer, are made of a very durable non-woven fabric. HDR is designed to be re-used over and over again, COLD OR HOT.

Consumers will receive the HDR sheets dry and must then hydrate them before use.

Once the HDR is hydrated, it can be frozen and then used as a replacement for conventional ice! The HDR also remains flexible when frozen!

Each sheet has 24 individual cells and can be cut or curved to fit any application, such as cold bottled drinks!

The STD (Standard Model) is constructed of 2 plys. One side is a thin plastic, non-perforated layer. The other layer is a tough non-woven fabric. The STD is designed as a consumable product for the cold shipment of perishables, fish, meat, veggies, etc. While it can be re-used a few times, its low cost and superior cooling qualities make it an ideal medium for one way shipping, and is usually discarded at the destination.

Factory certification of ISO-9002 ensures that our Techni Ice product is manufactured to the highest international standards. Techni Ice is a certified food safe product manufactured in Australia, using cutting edge technology machinery and processes that are curently the most advanced in the world.

How do I activate my new Techni Ice sheets?

Techni Ice starts as a flat sheet and absorbs water through a special perforation technology in the surface of the product.This is achieved by scrunching the sheets between your hands whilst immersed in warm water for a few minutes until the air bubles have escaped, the hydration process will now begin and the cells will swell ready for the products to be used both cold or hot.

The water enters through the surface and activates the polymer, which then swells the sheet into 24 individually sealed cells, which enables the product to be flexible when frozen and cut to size.

As mentioned above, Techni Ice can be used hot, cold or frozen and can not only keep your food and drinks icy cold for days on end in an icebox but is also very effective at reducing battery consumption when placed in 12 volt fridge/freezers due to its eutectic qualities,which minimise thermostat activity.

Techni Ice retail packs come in packs of one, three or six sheets ready to hydrate and use and are available throughout Australia at hundreds of retail outlets.

~~~~~~Commercial and Domestic Markets~~~~~~
The Techni Ice HDR model is available on bulk pallets of up to 9,000 sheets per pallet or in the consumer market in retail packs of one, three and six sheets for use in domestic ice boxes by customers upgrading from conventional gel packs or ice.
