Background:
Lader’s Knoll is a small village that sprang up from the ruins of a pre-cataclysm town. Unfortunately, following the Cataclysm was a severe outbreak of Black Death killing most of the village and causing the others to flee. Aileisabaith’s father, innkeeper of The Cataclysm’s Hope, succumbed quickly, leaving Sabaith to run the Inn. She cared for her father until his death and continued to keep the Inn open, as well as helping ease the symptoms of those with the plague with her minor skills as an herbalists. She, at this point, knows she will catch the plague but cannot leave her home there.
Relationships:
Sabaith invites Chandra and Bella to rest the night at The Cataclysm’s Hope, knowing full well that they may catch the plague. Yet even the most ill-seem events can bring hope and understanding, and it is here that Chandra is forced on her journey to look for The Last Candle. Aileisabaith perhaps understands more in her sorrow than one seems, and often death can be the last step to fulfilling the purpose of the gods.
