So it was when the elementary dream of making a dragonlance movie first came into the minds of two young girls. But now, as time passes, and maturity grows, that dream is not so much childish anymore, but rather now it is the vision of many people's futures. As people have joined in, the idea has morphed into the film for Naranost we call The Last Candle.A Short Synopsis:
The Last Candle is set in those hard times after the Cataclysm. The story centres around Chandra and her younger sister, Bella, who have been cast into wandering when their home was destroyed. By ill fortune or divine providence, the Bella becomes ill with the lethal plague and is to die. Chandra vows this is not to happen and seeks out a somewhat wicked creature, Nyx, who is rumoured to be able to cure the disease. She finds the rumours true, but Nyx demands first that Chandra finds her the Last Candle. Thus with time running out and hardly a hint to guide her, she sets out on an arduous quest. On the way she meets the living and dead and she returns not only with the Last Candle, but the knowledge of the tragedy, and hope, that the Cataclysm threw the people of Krynn into.
