Jim “Burning Love" Farrell Jr
Written by Jim "Angel Baby" Farrell Sr

As far back as I can remember, Jim had a love for cars in his blood, I swear I truly believe he has motor oil in his veins instead of blood.
I am locked in the 50's and Jim Jr is right behind me.
He was driving since he was 10.At the age of 16 he bought his first car-a 1957 Chevy right out of the junk yard. It was a beauty-just ask any cop in Bayonne NJ. It has been love ever since. Jim moved to Middletown, NJ after we moved there. We cruised together. One night we went to Red Bank for a car show and he was blown away.
Joe "The Fonz" was flame throwing and he told me that we were going to flame throw too. Fonz lived the in same town as Jim did, so he went to see him and find out how to Flame. The Fonz gave him the information, but as all great flamethrowers, he would not tell him all of his secrets. So together we were at it again.
He was taught by the best only to beat the best. Once there was a Car Show in Keyport NJ, and Burning Love rolled out-he beat the Fonz, and the DJ announced there was a new sheriff in town! Not only was there one, there were two-Angelbaby and Burning Love! We went to every cruise night when they were having flame throwing, and we would go up against the best-The Fonz, Hot Stuff, The Flame, Hearts of Fire, and Wally Dice. I truly believe all the while he was only trying to beat me! And, of course, he wouldn't tell me ALL of his secrets. After each contest he would say "Pop, what happened, I beat you?" and then he would ask his mom who was the best, and she would always say "oh, I missed it!”
I started a car club called "Let the Good Times Roll Cruisers" where Jim Jr would DJ. We flamed every night-it was great! That was when Jim Jr got the idea to make video about all of the great flamethrowers.
As with everything else, the days of the flame throwing came to and end one day. The great "Fonz", Bob "Rolling Thunder", Les "Hot Stuff", and Charlie "Hearts of Fire" all passed away. I moved to Florida, but legends still live on!
As for Jim Jr, he'll never stop. He got the idea to get back into flame throwing so he called the remaining great flamethrowers to get together, and get back into it. Right now he is in the process of building a 1950 Chevy flames for me-so we can have one more night with all of the great Flamethrowers at Burger King.
