A Short History of Armir’s homeland, Lea
The High Kings originally ruled Lea, and the law was fair
and just. Life was well. Then evil came to the land and corrupted the ruling
High King. The now evil High King let evil stretch his arms and embrace all of
Lea in it’s bitter darkness. All arts of the High
Kings were outlawed on the penalty of Death to prevent the normal goodness of
the High Kings from, again, enveloping the
Armir’s History
Armir was an orphan, found and raised by the Holy Order of Iclesias. He had no family; he made no friends. And he lived on until….
At 14 he met Rendal, another orphan that was no servant to any brotherhood. She was part of a circle of orphans that defied laws. She invited Armir to join her circle, they called themselves ‘They of the Dust’. Armir was sick of the monks and clerics of Iclesias, the way they controlled his life and told him who he was. The night after he met Rendal, Armir fled the Order of Iclesias to join along with They of the Dust.
With They of the Dust he found a certain kind of freedom and new skills. He learned to leave off the wealthy and benefit at their lost. He also learned that, tho there was much freedom in They of the Dust, break one of the few rules and punishment was harsh, _very_ harsh. He became one of the most daring thieves of They of the Dust as he took all his vengeful bitterness of his life out on the ones who cared nothing other than their selves. He cared nothing for life anyways; it was all hatred, bitterness, and hardships.
Then one day, somebody of They of the Dust made a discovery, a portal! There were only two portals known in Lea and the government closely controlled them both. With a portal They could leave this wretched world to somewhere better. Yet they had to figure out how this new portal functioned. To do that some one must take their life into their hands. A few people volunteered, including Armir. Rendal, they had become to know each other _much_ better, bid him fare well sadly and hoped he would come back. At 20, Armir step thru the portal and ended up in a new land.
The trip thru the portal knocked Armir unconscious, and when he awoke he could find no portal in which he came thru. He could not discover what had happened. Cursing life in general, he memorized the spot. A year later, Armir discovered a portal in the new land (a land that was not exactly pleasant to live in) and he decided he would leave. At 21, Armir stepped thru the second portal….
….and ended up in Nexus.
Armir’s Personality
Bitter, sometimes cynical, sad and confused, does not like any of wealthy (thinks they are all selfish), tries to be considerate of others, negative, cares little for life so will sometimes do stupid things, misses his homeland even with its evil, and really misses Rendal.
Armir is confused, never knows what to do and hides it behind a bitter sarcastic tongue.
Armir’s Race and the High Kings
The High Kings were a race that had special abilities, magik-like abilities they could use at certain. Armir is human, like almost all of Lea, but he has drops of the High Kings blood in him. He is gifted with one power of the High Kings, to read others surface thoughts. The way it works is if concentrating on a person their thoughts appear as your own. If one does not know they have this ability, it can become scary because you would think the other persons thought were really yours. Armir knows he has the High Kings blood in him but it is not something he likes to bring up. What he does not know is that the High Kings blood has gifted him in more than a little on looks.
