ven though nothing compared to the beauty and skill of her brother's wife, Vaire, here is the entrance to Nienna's own small recording of beauty. Across the room is strewn odds and ends of fabric scraps and notions, but as you slowly pace the room what holds your attention are the many lifeful manicans that pose throughout the room. They exhibit the products of the room's purpose.

Vistani This is miss and match pieces of things I have made but together to resemble and stereotypical Gypsy or Vistani. You can find a full view of it here.
Hat The pattern for this hat had a larger brim, but I am rather fond of it how I made it.
Aileisabaith This is a costume I made for my own charcter is the film, The Last Candle.
Solamnia This was based off a pattern for a renaissance scholar's robe. I altered the neckline and length a little bit. Originally I had planned on putting a fur collar on, but I am thinking I am too lazy for such impractality in the current. This costume and fabric was orgianlly meant as part of a Solamnic Knight's costume in The Last Candle.
Medival I made this dress from an old set of sheets I had, thus if you look closely you can see where the sheets have faded at the folds. It was froma pattern out of the book, Medival Celebrations and personally turned out rather well. The belt really makes it all, but the pattern is fairly historically accurate (with gores and gussets). You can find a closer shot of the front of the dress here.
70's Again, another old sheet dress. The pattern it is I bought at the Libaray book sale and is by simplicity. The copyright date on the edge of the pattern is 1970. I don't really ever wear stuff like this, but I think its cute.
Nienor Here is an outfit I made as I imagined what Nienor from The Silmarillion might wear. I am extremly fond of the pattern and fabrics I used, although I altared the sleeves a bit, and don't like how the sleeves hang. A closer up photo can be found here.
Niniel This is Nienor without the sleeves, which looks better I think. The photoes did not turn out wonderful, but I am not a photographer. Here is a side veiw of Nienor being enthalled and you can find a frontal veiw here.
Echo Sorry it is a little hard to see, but I made this originally as a costume for Silvara from the Dragonlance Chronicles. It is made from Simplicity's 9454 with a polycotton underdress and lace over dress. This picture is of Echo from The Last Candle.
Chandra I made the green tunic and vest in this outfit. The tunic is from Simplicity's 8587, while the vest is from Simplicity's 5925. The vest is off imatation leather (we are not rich) and the tunic is made from some unknown stretchy material. This picture is of Chandra from The Last Candle.
Odinakachukwa The only thing here by me is the yellow vest. It is a simplified version of the vest that came with Mccall's 4550. I've also made the coat and the lined version of the vest, which shall be put up soon. This picture is of Odinackchukwa from The Last Candle.
Andarta This was made from Mccall's 3514. Unfortunately the trim bled giving the dress faint blue splotches. Really, who makes non-washersafe trim in these times. Ah well. This picture is of Andarta from The Last Candle.
Fala This was made to match in at least colour Andarta's costume. I can't seem to recall the pattern number but I will look it up. I ended up making this too big, so Kaylyn (who is wearing it) altered it down. Its made of a cotton/poly. This picture is of Fala from The Last Candle.
Jemina I only made the cloak in this picture; the dress in an old prom dress of Kaylyn's, I believe. It was originally an experiment in making the opera cloak from The DIY Guide to LARP. I had problems with the shoulders being too square and of course I felt the hood could have been fuller. I would recommend the semi circle cloak over this one. If you look closely you can perhaps see the entire edge is embroidered with a vine pattern in brown. The cloaks made out of unbleached muslim. This picture is of Jemina from The Last Candle.
Volundr This photo is here for the costume in the back. Tyshal is in the front, and made her own costume. You can, of course, look her up on The Last Candle Website. I made the shirt and apron. The shirt is of a loose woven nubby cotton and is made from Simplicity's 5925. The Apron is from imatation leather and was modeled after the lab aprons from chemistry on the wearer's suggestion. This picture is of Volundr from The Last Candle.
