EDDIE is apoplectic at receiving a missive directed at his former
self-LARRY PISINSKI. He flashes back to his less than halcyon youth and
before the government raided his school and forced him on the lam. He
reads warnings about history, wherein the smoking gun lies in the
library at Alexandria and writes back.
12/4/00 - 1/6/01
....At the trailer, EDDIE, CADE, and JORDAN form a summit on just what
the enigmatic e-mail is evidence of. All they can agree upon is that
something is up.
Trailing back from the trio, LEX remains at her room unaware that
something is going down outside her door.
JOSHUA looks to some clues from the bounty hunter and pays a visit to
her room.
AYA, never trailing far behind, lies in wait up the road.
Pain-in-the-assassin, TIFFANY HUNT, treks up to the hideout and has a
tete-a-tete a la takedown with JORDAN.
FOSTER and his 'compatriot' NAMBULOUS are wary of all three vixens that
the latest quatrain seems to have evinced.
JOSHUA follows suit and joins AYA in stakeout.
Fetching LEX and making intros, the paranoid EDDIE is vindicated when he
realizes that they really are out to get him. Nervous about the gua pow
wow, he heeds caution to Cade, as someone is not whom they seem.
Reaching a consensus that no one can be trusted, JORDAN takes off with
LEX in tow.
TIFFANY relays to CADE she killed her family, she kills for a living,
her fiance, Martin Blank, was killed by the gua, and that in turn killed
her inside.
JORDAN pulls up to a bar where a trailer trashy element hangs. Bellowing
up to the bar is a wannabe sugar ray, BRETT. With LEX, the three of them
form an uneasy quorum if not alliance.
Evidently GUA does not become them....
1/6/01 - 2/3/01
....Caught in the crosshairs of AYA's pistol. TIFFANY is tranqued.
Lining up his own shot, BRETT EVANS retaliates at the little blonde
acolyte. He adds a pinch of salt for luck and is rewarded when AYA is
dragged back to his car peacefully.
From the safety of the deck that they hit, JORDAN and CADE ride out to
the woods after BRETT. Holed up in the cabin, they try to get AYA to
talk.
Before AYA can shoot from the hip, JOSHUA exits the trunk he was hiding
in and slashes the vehicles' tires. He bursts inside and demands the
Gua's release.
All ready cocked-all ready cocky, JORDAN, is not a happy camper when
FOSTER decides to let their captive bunkmate go. She starts berating
herself for what she views as her lack of vision.
Now painted as giant bullseyes, the three set off to hoof it back to
town. JOSHUA and AYA abscomb into the trees and split up.
Blondie plays markswoman and injects the tranquilizer into CADE. Verbally
sparring, AYA connects with her potshot at BRETT and drags his carcass
back to the hideout.
Crazy, EDDIE is not, when he receives disturbing news from BB. A new
quatrain beats an old refrain-trust no one. MS. HUNT awakens with bleary
eyes and questioning what the hell she was shot up with.
Continuing in the tradition of backfires and assorted transportation
qualms, CADE'S ex HARLEY DANIELS shows up after sending an e-mail in
condolence of his untimely passing. She is stunned by AYA's gunning her
down and by the apparent fact that the rumors of FOSTER'S demise were
greatly exaggerated
Sick of being sitting ducks in a shooting gallery, the resistance takes
a tunnel to a clearing and have HARLEY escort the wounded BRETT back to
her car. SUBJECT 117 coldcocks the aggressive acolyte.
At the residence of David, a RAVEN NATION volunteer, the mysterious
"green goo" in AYA'S bag is promised to be much more than a sedative.
HARLEY, whom MS. RADCLIFFE affectionately refers to as "THE BIKE",
sparks a rapport with BRETT while noticing the chemistry between her
former partner and his new partner.
MR. NAMBULOUS reassures LINDA FOSTER, not aware that she has been
targeted.
CADE takes a closer examination of the Gua's personal possessions when
he gets a call from EDDIE. The Paranoid Times has had some intriguing
hits in the form of a classified Gua experiment involved with mutation
of DNA....
2/3/01 - 2/24/01
So here's the deal, Cade and Tiffany got shot with this evil green goo, which turned out to be some nasty Gua experiment into cloning, scary! Luckily for them help was just a phone call away, in the guise of a helpful Dr friend of the Raven Nation, David (now sadly deceased). Cade and Tiffany lived to fight another day.
The impending doom dragged Cade and Jordan closer together, much to the dismay of Harley and Tiffany, who's mutual dislike of 'Red' may well be the one thing they have in common.
Meanwhile Brett is called out to investigate mysterious goings on in a small town on the edge of Milwaukee. He arrives to find the place worryingly empty, with the exception of a small girl, Casey Blevins. He takes the kid under his wing and with Eddie's able assistance they discover that the child isn't all that she appears to be. Her mysterious past unfolds, and finds Tiffany lurking in the depths of her past...coincidence? All will be revealed when they join up with Eddie, Tiffany and Harley...or will it?
And then there are the Gua. The ground troops are growing with the appearance of Peter and James, who both seem to be expressing more than a passing interest in Aya. More so interested in catching subject 117, for who knows what unpleasant experiments. Why did they allow Casey to escape? And why are they now so desperate to find her? And will they ever notice that Eddie and the trailer have moved on?
Then another person from Cade's past pops up, Ashley. What will she be able to contribute to the fight?
2/24/01 - 2/27/01
After some rather uncomfortable information imparted by Eddie and Tiffany,
Brett has decided to get Casey as far away from everyone as possible, he's
especially suspicious about Tiffany's apparent interest in her. Casey turns
out to be a hybrid, part human part Gua and the only one of the batch to
make it past 2 years old, the Gua see her as the weapon that will win the
war and herald the Second Wave.
Meanwhile:
Cade and Jordan have been joined by Ashley, who's caviller approach to alien
hunting has taken Jordan and Cade by surprise. The three are currently
trying to track down info on tests that were done on Casey at a hospital in
Minnesota and have been led to the home of Charlie, a paranoid hacker with a
Marilyn Monroe fixation.
Tiffany is also trying to trace info on Casey, while Eddie is freaking out
trying to fit all the pieces of the puzzle together....oh, and trying to
find a doctor for Brett who's gunshot wound is turning nasty.
2/27/01 - 3/8/01
Jordan, Cade and Ash are sent by Eddie to visit the mysterious hacker
Charlie (AKA Cheeser). During the visit Jordan is taken prisoner by the
relentless Gua Aya. Cade ran to her rescue, but was beaten to it by Peter,
the new Gua in town who claims to be a friend to Cade and the resistance,
perhaps in time we'll see what his motives really are.
Ash, meanwhile, manages to create mayhem with Charlie's computers, luckily
he comes up with the goods before Ash can close down his whole system. He
produces a blue-print of the hospital Casey was taken to, resplendent with
Gua writing, perhaps Peter will be able to decipher it and lead them to the
knowledge.
The threesome are about to start moving when they receive a phone call that
changes their plans, on arrival at the lake safe-house Brett and Casey
stumble across the wounded form of LJ, Cade's long lost niece. They head to
the lake to see what has brought her back into their lives.
Brett and Casey meanwhile, tend LJ's wounds and get her back on her
feet...and manage to avoid being walloped by a large dog statue. eventually
LJ seems to calm down enough to explain that she is now wanted for her
aunt's murder, and having a large chunk of memory missing is terrified that
she may have been involved. This coupled with the fear she may have become a
Gua tool has made her edgy, not to mention the gunshot wound in her
side...the doctor's going to have his work cut out! As LJ and Brett get to
trust each other they begin to get closer, and after convincing her she's no
Gua the gang look towards finding ways to unlock her missing memories.
Back in Gua central Aya has attracted the attention of James, could a Gua
romance be on the cards? That'll have to wait because right now she has her
eye on another man...Eddie. She has decided that since torturing Jordan
didn't work she'll have her fun with him instead, and after the initial
squealing (and against all expectation) he stands up to her! Could this be a
whole new side of Eddie immerging? Don't count on it!
Will Eddie become Gua bait? Will Peter betray the gang? Is Jordan's cooking
causing Cade to have nightmares?
3/8/01 - 3/24/01
Eddie is in peril, trapped by the dangerously unstable gua Aya and the doe
eyed James. Lucky for him the cavalry arrives in time to interrupt the
party, and despite putting himself in immanent danger Cade manages to help
his friend with the help of Jordan.
Back at the lake everyone is having a very sleepless night, worried that Aya
might be able to trace them Brett hustles the remaining girls into the car
and heads towards the medicine man. LJ's injuries seem worse than once
thought and waiting is no longer an option. Casey, Brett and LJ go in while
Ash heads off on some mission of her own, much to LJ's concern.
Meanwhile Eddie heads for a small town in order to escape the gua patrol.
During the journey Cade receives the phone call from hell. Tiffany decides
to tell him that contrary to his belief his marriage wasn't the bed of roses
he'd thought. Instead she informs him it was a sham, and all the time he and
Hannah were together she was cheating on him with an old college friend,
Martin Blank...Tiffany's fiancé. Cade is understandably devastated, but his
anger turns quickly on the messenger. What are her motives for telling him?
Why did she do it over the phone? And why is she trying to get involved with
the gua doctor Peter? Her behaviour is getting more suspicious by the day!
Jordan and Cade decide to find out the truth behind the outlandish claim,
the box of memorabilia gives up nothing, but they're convinced it's some gua
trick. In an effort to cheer Cade up the two go to a bar, where a mysterious
woman entrances all the men in the place, including Cade much to Jordan's
disgust. She leaves with the alpha male, who's apparently fought off all the
other competition. Cade and Jordan follow in the hope of figuring out what
kind of creature she is.
3/24/01 - 4/24/01
Brett And LJ manage to get all patched up thanks to the nice Dr. Man. Though
there is a worrying moment when he becomes a little too curious about
Casey...but discovery is avoided and they head back to the trailer.
Meanwhile Ash is making her own fun, breaking into a house and watching TV
while the others get seen to.
Cade and Jordan follow the woman and her catch back to a biker's hideout in
the woods...wackiness ensues when Cade comes under her spell and attacks
Jordan, almost ending the fledgling partnership. However the two prevail,
the Gua is dusted and happiness is restored...until Cade receives a phone
call from the police station...Ash has been arrested!
Being the nice guy that he is Cade dons a cunning disguise (ok, he puts on a
pair of glasses...but he was stuck) and heads down to the station to bail
out his delinquent prodigy. The girl is less than remorseful, and after
having a few words from a disapproving Cade heads off once more. This time
she finds more trouble than even she expects when she runs into (quite
literally) Aya, the gua acolyte. The two fight and Ash makes her escape,
during which she manages to 'acquire' a cash box containing a gua
consciousness.
After the death of Tiffany's associate, and another less than pleasant phone
conversation Cade and Jordan set about the task of dissecting Hannah's
private life, charting and cataloguing her known movements in order to prove
or disprove once and for all the woman's claims. Jordan traces email from
the associate and hacks into her computer, though she is unable to access
the information...she knows someone who can...Hank.
Ash and Cade have a heart to heart after which he leaves with Jordan to
visit Raven Nation, a military style compound a couple of hours away from
their current location. After delivering the copied hard drive to Hank
Jordan proudly shows Cade around, he is surprised to say the least.
Back at the trailer Casey has a funny turn, seemingly having a 'connection'
to Jacklyn, a teenage girl who's mother died at the hands of the gua.
However before she can reach the crew she is taken prisoner by a new gua
woman called Lily who takes her to the gua run hospital in Minnesota where
she is introduced to Peter, fresh from his encounter with Tiffany...who has
mysteriously disappeared! Will the gua use Jacklyn's connection to Casey to
track the twice blessed man? Will Ash ever manage to keep out of trouble?
Will the Joshua manage to recover the gua consciousness?
