More about Charisma...
Charisma Carpenter never intended to pursue a career in acting, but fortunately she was discovered when working as a waitress in Los Angeles. A commercial agent discovered Charisma, and her career in front of the camera begun. Charisma was featured in over 20 commercials, including one for Secret antiperspirant which lasted two years.

Her first big break came with a guest role on "Baywatch." Soon after this role, Charisma was cast as Ashley in the NBC series "Malibu Shores."
Of course the next role for Charisma was that of Cordelia on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." She originally auditioned for the title role of Buffy, but she ended up landing the role of Cordelia when actress Bianca Lawson turned it down. This role has shot Charisma to world wide fame! "Buffy the vampire slayer" has developed a cult following, and is currently screening worldwide. The show is now preparing for it's 5th season.

Charisma is no longer working on the set of Buffy, but she is not far away. She now works on "Angel, a spin off of Buffy, playing the same role, Cordelia. She has appeared as a regular during the first season of Angel, and is geared up for the second season.

After graduating from high school, she traveled through Europe. Upon returning, she moved to San Diego where she held various jobs to support herself through junior college. Her job experience at that time included working in a video store, teaching aerobics, and waiting on tables - the job that ultimately led to her acting career.

Offscreen, the brunette beauty enjoys the outdoors - rollerblading, hiking, sky diving, rock climbing, running and horseback riding - as well as traveling and cooking. She also continues to dance, and is a former San Diego Charger Girl cheerleader.
