The episode starts out with that we a see a sub in the water, we go inside, an alarm goes off, and two Russian sailors come in to check things out. The turn the alarm off then they hear what sounds like a spider in the torpedo tub, so they get a flashlight and open it up and look inside and they see something. Then it runs forward, jumps right into one of the sailor's faces and sprays something into his face.
Next we see Daniel in a medical bed with Dr.Fraiser checking him out and Daniel says that they just got the gate working because they were having some problems. Then they here an alarm saying unscheduled gate activation, so Daniel goes and rushes off to the gate room and he gets there and they receive SG-1 iris code so it is them. Jack, Sam, and Teal'c walk through the gate and Sam says that is about time because they had been trying for over a week. We learn that the Asgard came and picked up Thor. Hammond was surprised that they would just leave them there. Jack said he would debrief them right after he took a shower, and Hammond said yes you can and that he insisted on it. Jack asks if it was bad and Daniel said that he was not going to say anything. When Teal'c comes back he has a little hair on his chin. So maybe that is the hair Teal'c gets.
Sam is in looking at some of the pieces from the replicators from the wreckage. Jack comes in and looks at her from under the magnifying glass, that she is using and asks what she is doing and she tells him. Jack then says that he is still going fishing and does she want to come with him. Sam then gets a call and then she rushes after Jack and tells him to wait. Jack makes a comment about having Dai Vue because of the scene from NEMESIS where Jack is beamed up to Thor's ship. Sam tells him that Major Davis is coming in and that was Hammond on telephone. Major Davis hands out packets saying that they received a distress call from a Russian fox trot class submarine code-named blackbird. A mechanical spider (replicators) had killed the whole crew. Davis was there to see what they could do with to stop the replicators. Jack said to toe it out to see and nuke it. Davis said that it would be hard to cover a nuclear explosion in international waters. Hammond mentioned that the Russians had picked up Thor's ship entry into the atmosphere. Next, an alarm went off saying unknown Stargate activation, Hammond said there was no teams off world right now. When they got to the gate room Gary Jones (do not know is characters name) said that he was trying to close the iris but it was not responding. Then everything shut down and Thor walked through the Stargate. Thor comes to get help from the SGC, Thor says that they need some one dumber then them to help them out, and since SG-1 tactics have worked that maybe they could help him. Carter volunteers to go and Jack makes a remark saying that she might not be dumb enough, Thor then activates the Stargate with a device on his hand. Since the power came back on after the gate shut off, alarms started going off when Thor activated the Stargate.
Next, we see Major Carter and Thor beamed in a ship I assume and on the Asgard home planet. Out the window, we see a huge ship that is being built. Sam asks what is and Thor says that is the O'Neill the biggest and most advanced ship ever built by the Asgard. In addition, it is the last great hope for the them in the fight against the replicators. Thor also mentions that it is the first ship designed only to fight in the battle against the replicators. So maybe they have ships that do research and science ships. Sam asks why they are not taking the O'Neill and he says that is not ready yet. Thor tells Sam that they are going to join a battle in which five Asgard ships are trying to stop three ships that are infected by the replicators.
Jack, Teal'c, and two people with the last name's Steven's and Baker go with Jack and Teal'c out to the sub. Daniel stays at the harbor and watches them through their video cameras that they were on their heads. Once in the sub, they split into two teams and go search the ship. Teal'c and Steven's find a big bug that is like a queen replicator. A bug sneaks up behind Steven's and he opens fire and all hell breaks lose down there, Teal'c gets out alive but Steven's is killed.
Next Thor and Sam are just talking about what the bugs are made of. They are made up of an energy "substance" called keron. We are back on the dock next and Dr. Fraiser dug out one of the chips from the replicators.
Thor Offers Sam some food and when it comes they look like small squares and circles of different colors. Thor says his favorites are the yellow ones. Sam grabs a yellow one and eats it, but spits out and says sorry.
We are back at the dock again and Major Davis mentions that the Dallas is standing by to blast the Russian sub to kingdom come. Dan says that since the replicators are made out of sub that they can't survive in water and that is why they have not moved. Then says that if the blow it up the one replicator that survived Thor's ship could still survive. They look at the images and they find out that the one replicator that survived is incorporated into the "mother" bug. Teal'c volunteers to go with O'Neill to kill the bug. They plan a diversion to get the replicators away. They plan to place explosives on the upper decks to attract the replicators.
Thor says that the Asgard ships are gone and he implies that the replicators have destroyed them. Sam asks why they are not going to hyper speed. Thor says that they need all the power to go to hyper speed and they are using some to replicate. Thor also mentions two interesting things that possibly they have not learned all they know from the Asgard and that the Asgard ships do not have shields or weapons in hyper speed. Teal'c and Jack set the charges on the upper deck to attract the replicators. The anchor line that was holding the sub snapped and Daniel ask how will they get out and Davis says through the escape hatch.
Major Carter is starting to come up with a plan on how to stop the three ships that are controlled by the replicators from getting to Thor's home planet. Here is the plan that she comes up with: Get the O'Neill launched and rigs it to explode. Then get the replicators to chase after it then have it go into hyper speed and once the replicators have caught up to it. They will blow the ship up in hyper speed and hopefully destroy the ships with the replicators. Jack and Teal'c get down to where the "mother" bug is and hide in a part next to the bug and explode the charges and we see the replicators go chasing after it. Sam now try's to convince Thor to do her plan. She says that it may be a dumb plan but is that not what you brought me here for since you cannot think like that. Thor aggresses and he beams off to set the plan in motion.
O'Neill and Teal'c then go to the mother bug and throw a grenade in and shut the door, and cleaned up what survived the blast. They then find out they are trapped, when Jack goes back to the later the replicators have formed a cover over the hole to get out, he shoots a few shoots in to it and creates a hole and but it is covered right back up. Every where they go the replicators are there. Jack then tells Major Davis to blow up the ship since they will not get off. Thor beams back and says that the O'Neill has been launched. We then see that the replicators are chasing after the O'Neill. It then goes into hyper speed and the Replicators follow the O'Neill and then the O'Neill explodes while in hyper speed and takes the other three replicators controlled ships with it. Sam says that we did it and Thor responds it was your stupid idea major. Daniel finally tells Davis to launch the missiles and Davis gives the order to launch them. They are launched and they are a direct hit. We see Jack and Teal'c are being over run by the replicators and are about to die but just then they are beamed up to Thor's ship. Jack and Teal'c are beamed up and Jack has is hands around his head and then looks up and sees that he is on Thor's ship. Jack tells Sam what happened down there and Sam tells jack that the Asgard built a ship named the O'Neill he is excited by that and then says oh when Sam tells him that they blew it up. Thor says: one day we will repay you by helping you to fight the Goa'uld. Jack asks one day. In addition, Thor says that the replicators span his whole galaxy and that saving one planet is a small victory and that they have brought hope to where there was none before.

Thor: You have demonstrated their weakness may be found through a less sophisticated approach, we are no longer capable of such thinking.
Daniel: wait a minute you are actually saying you need someone dumber than you are?
Jack: You may have come to the right place. Carter volunteered to go with Thor to help save Thor's homeworld.
Jack: I do not know Carter, you may not be dumb enough.
Carter: I think I can handle it sir.

Thor: It was your stupid idea Major Carter.
(After they blew up the O'Neill)

Notes:
1. They had been dialing home for an over a week.
2. Russian Fox Trot class atomic submarine, code name: blackbird.

9. When the Asgard ships go in to hyper speed, they do not have weapons or shields. I think Thor's quote saying that one day they will re pay us by helping us to fight the Goa'uld is very interesting. Because awhile I ago I read that Brad Wright said that they [SG-1] were heading towards a major war with Goa'uld. Therefore, the Asgard would probably play a big part in that war also. Probably my favorite quote of the episode is when Thor says to Sam "It was your stupid idea Major Carter." After Carter's plan worked to destroy the bugs

Unanswered Questions
1. What happened while SG-1 was on P3X-234?
2. Are the replicators really wiped off earth?
3. How does the Russian fit into episode 7 "Watergate"? Maybe because of the sub?
4. How close are the replicators to defeating the Asgard?
5. What happened to the original gate? Is it still in the ocean? Did the SGC recover it? Do the Russians have it? Does someone else have it?
