Fear
Gnawing away fiercely
Tearing tender souls
Into a thousand pieces
Each weaker than the next
Destroying opportunities
To take a chance
Courage is called
Powered up
But the fear overthrows
Becomes dictator of the mind
Canceling out all other emotions
Fear rules with an iron fist
Weakening
Crumbling
Under its power
Demolishing hopes and dreams
