"Silver White Winters that Melt Into Spring ..."
By Daphne
Not long ago
The tall bony figures stood bare
Save for a suit of frozen water
Frigid and silvery
Wrapping their fragile bodies
Their bones
And with daggers hanging down
The ground we walk upon
The houses we live in
Everywhere around us, was
Gently frosted with an icy white powder
That made the lands
Appear whimsical
And strangely fantastic
And now, as that winter
That silver white winter
Melts into a spring
Earth awakens
Swirling into a vivid new look
Of freshness and life
And countless hexidecimal combinations
The bony figures emerge
Lush with new foliage
And daggerless
The white magic is gone
Into invisible oblivion
Drips and drops and melting
Into a new dawn
