Hell on Earth

I go to hell and back,
I go through the pain again and again,
Although I fight looking back.
I put on a smile to hide my feelings,
And try to continue on,
Acting bubbly and happy 'til bedtime,
Then repeat the process at Dawn.
I know I'm good at it simply 'cause,
Nobody seems to see,
All the pain and hurt,
That lives inside of me.
Sometimes I try to put it away,
And pretend that I'm alright,
But trying never stops
The tears that come at night.
I see my life as what it is,
A facade for the world to enjoy,
I've built a wall around my heart,
Nobody can destroy.
And so I'll continue to watch,
Those who live around me,
Hoping in my heart,
I'll won't always feel this empty.
