Loren's Song
There are two rosebuds before me
Covered with scarlet
Darkness and light
They are sleeping oblivious
Under mine eyes, through
Daylight and night
One moves naught
Torn from the Earth
Awaiting the end
The other breathes with the wind
Uprooted in agony
Replanted by a friend
And so my rosebuds lay
Waiting for the day
When they will awake
And no longer need
My tears to bring them home.
