Remember

He has no right.

Can you remember, my friend,
Our happy days of love?
When we wrote insane depictions
And lay under the stars for homes?
When it seems we never frowned?
It was, naturally, your utter joy
We mirrored.

He hated us for it.

And so he banished you
Claiming, as so many before him,
It was God's decision.
And we shared that last day of glory
Filled with unprecented tears for you
Even as you smiled and laughed
For us.

Do you remember, my sister?
We thrived even after
Conversations long into the night
Typed and spoken
Under a blanket of similar stars
And you promised to us
You'd come.

He hated you for it.

And so he ordered you back
Claiming, yet again falsely,
It is for the family.
And he never understood we were your family
I wept unseen tears
But you saw anyway, and smiled
For me.

I remember, my dearest.
I remember your eternal smile
And your warm laughing eyes.
No matter what he does
I'll never let you go.
Forever I will cry for you
And you shall laugh for me.
