Rants and Ravings

January 24, 2000: Eleventh graders invaded us.

Our lunch table, that is. And these eleventh graders are the idiots, not the cool ones. They sat at our table, moved Daphne's stuff, and Megan told me to walk away. I did, but once I realized what they had done, I sat down. And I'm not moving. I'm going to sit at my seat, and the eleventh graders can move or stay. It's my seat. If my friends want to run to different tables, fine, they can let older kids kick them out even though they can't!

I'm making a stand. I'm going to keep making a stand. My dad is proud of me. I'm proud of myself.

That's all that counts.

January 3, 2000: Mayonaise jars are kind of like people.

When somebody has a good day, they smile and laugh, and are really friendly. You'll notice. And you'll notice, too, if somebody's acting really bummed. During the in-between times, well, you don't really notice. Kinda like mayonaise jars.

I've also rediscovered my ablity to let my mind drift. I'll just start thinking of odd things when I'm drying my hair, or sitting in math class, or singing. Like ... not being focused helps me get the job done better. It's odd. What part of you drifts? The neurons? And what lets you remember? What stores your memories?

I think those are all the deep thoughts I have. But I am going to a poetry reading tonight.

December 29, 2000: Woah, I haven't updated this page in a while ... sorry, deal with it. So yeah, Animorphs is ending in a few months ... we only have 5 books left. 5. Woah. You know, I read book 2 first ... it was interesting ... good times ... I was 9 then, I'm 14 now ... I've grown up so much, and Animorphs has always been there, now it's leaving ... first the simming, now Animorphs, well, there goes a major part of my life ... But never fear, I have a plan ...

Remember . . .

On another note, isn't this picture beautiful?

October 15, 2000: Ugh. I feel so horrible. Ali had this party of hers. We went on a hay ride and then ate hotdogs and smores. Unfortunalty, there was a hay fight, and guess what happened when I threw hay at Sean? His glasses got lost. We spend 20 minutes looking for them. And it is all my fault. ::sigh:: So I spend the rest of the ride feeling sorry for myself and for Sean.

There was a bunch of horses there, though. I claimed one as mine, and named him Mask. (Anyone recognize the name? That's right, it was on my Mina story, under Fiction. Check it out here.) He was pretty.

On other matters, I got both the new Star Wars book and the new Animorphs books.

October 8, 2000: ::tearing out hair:: Oh my GOD!!!! The new Star Wars book is out, and I DON'T HAVE IT!!! It's been out for 5 frickin' days, and Dad, Emily, and Daphne knew any THEY DIDN'T TELL ME!!! ::breathing hard:: Okay, focus, focus ... ::breathes deeply.:: I found out from my new awesome friend, Rebecca191. She's a reviewer for Amazon.com and also provides some information for Morphz.com. She send me the COOLEST book cover for the upcoming book (coming out October 31), check it out here.

Now for current (as in, happening right this second) happenings. I'm at Daphne's house, in Daphne's chair, on Daphne's computer, typing on Daphne's really weird keyboard. They're watching Labyrinth, and they keep dissing Sarah, although I like her. She has cool hair. Bowie is the greatest! He's awesome. I REALLY need some more descriptive words ... not the point. There's a poetry reading on Monday, I still have to call Sean and Ali to see if they'll come. I hope they do come, because they have some really good poetry and the readings are so much fun ... which reminds me, I need to post Sean's poem, except it doesn't have a title. I have so much to work on, and I stilll haven't watched the season premire of Voyager that I tapped. ::sighs:: Well, I'll just trail off now ...

Oh yeah! And I joined a new egroup. That is all.

October 3, 2000: This is the worst day of my life.

That is all.

September 21, 2000: AHHHHHH!!! I haven't posted here in so long! Eepshin, as Daphne would say. So, yeah, I am obnoxiously sick, and it bites, let me tell you. But! I joined a writers egroup, and I hope to get feedback from them on the stories I've written, unlike the feedback I got from my friends ::coughemilycough.:: But, hey I should post those too, shouldn't I? Oh well. I went to another poetry reading, they are so cool and relaxed! I think I've started incorparating Alaina and Emily's styles into my poetry ... which you can read here. And, if you look on the main page, you might notice I have new links ... Quotes and Song lyrics! There'll not ALL finished, but I spend a lot of time on 'em, so go check them out. And that's all I have to say.

September 7, 2000: I just went to my first poetry reading last night with Emily and Daphne at Borders -- and they are SO COOL!!! I have to go to more of these things, defintally! The people there are so NICE and I have new poetry friends!!! I was reading one of my poems, and when I was done two of the girls came up and gave me a hug ... it was great. So, yeah, hi to my new friends!!! Can I post your poetry??? (Diane, Alaina, Stephanie, you know who you are!!!)

August 31, 2000: Hey, getting sick on the third day of school is a great way to start the year, huh??? That's what I said! ::sigh:: We're having a party Sunday, so I'm going to be doing a lot of cleaning ... yay. Mom wants me to help her make a webpage tomorrow. I don't know what she's gonna put on it, but I'll make it as cool as I can.

August 29, 2000: School: That's one day down, 179 to go. I think. In homeroom we got a bunch of papers that I forgot to bring home, as usual. ::sigh:: By the end of the day my hand was a great shade of blue (don't ask). Writing class is so cool! Sarah's in that class, and the teacher's awesome. I'll post ALL my stuff I write, don't you worry. We got our own disks! ::insane cackle:: German I have with Mrs. Azrael in the EXACT SAME ROOM as the last year, so I'll like that class. Emily and Daphne are in that class, so is Sean. Hehe, we threw a little ball around in a circle to name the alphabet (kindergarten, Emily!). Then ... there was math. We get out textbooks, and Mrs. Blackson says a bunch of junk about how "pleased" they are with the books -- and then she started teaching us! No syllabus, no rules, no class description, nothing. She gave us homework, too. At lunch, somebody stole our table! ::loud gasp from everyone is heard.:: Sarah sits with us, once I get to know her better I'll have a page up on her. Anyway ... then I had Biology -- Yes! The teacher (a girl) is awesome. But ... we're going to dissect frogs in November. Don't really know what I'm going to do about that, but oh well. Oh, Emily, Daphne, and Sean are in my Math and Bio classes, although Emily wants to leave Math. So, we missed the bus, got a ride from Genna, and got home just in time to watch Mom camcord Molly coming home from her first day at school. I think Dad's going to miss having a little girl home Tuesdays and Thursdays with him, but I am confidant he'll handle it. Oh! Speaking of Dad, he told us some WILD stories last night about his teenage years, which I DEFINATLY will be posting on a separate page. Stay tooned!

August 25, 2000: So, I'm sitting at my computer at 12:30 a.m., talking to Kurt, wondering why Emily's not online, and updating my Angelfire page, right? Except, when I go to look at my pages ... THEY ARE ALL ONE BIG PARAGRAPH! And Emily or Daphne aren't here to help (like they ever are ...) so all I can do is sit here and save, save, save, ignore the damn paragraphs til I can call Emily at 8:30 in the morning when she's only had 3 hours of sleep! Sheep! Dad's awake too, but he's cool, and he doesn't care that I'm online, unlike Mom. So Rachel comes on, and I ask her. Cool ol' Rachel ... I like her. Even though I still can't find a damn live duck anywhere ...
