"Ever wonder what will happen to us when we get home?" Harry folded his hands and dropped his head slightly. "We're a family, what if they don't put us on assignments together anymore. And I mean what if they ship B'Elanna off to the penal colony? What will you do?"
"This Starfleet crew works at 100% efficiency, Starfleet would be foolish not to keep it as it is. And sooner or later they're going to have to take a *real* stand against the Cardassians - but you didn't hear that from me. After facing the Borg, the Vidiians, and well the damn Kazon, they have their fighting machine with Janeway and Voyager's Crew. And as for the other, I know New Zealand pretty well, maybe I'd just have to get thrown back in there again in order to visit a certain Klingon-Human?" Tom laughed.
"You'd do that . . . after all the Captain has done for you?" He asked accusingly. "She cleared your name, Paris, and not only that but *you* have accomplished so much with this second chance."
Paris raised his hands up in the air to ward off further comments, "I know Harry, and if it were for *anything* but B'Elanna's heart I wouldn't do it."
"You really do love her, don't you?" Harry sighed.
Tom punched him in the shoulder and Harry winced, "There are some things this Pilot can't say. Besides, I wouldn't be alone in New Zealand. I'm sure the Captain would attempt to beam Chakotay out of there in a heartbeat."
"Yeah right," Harry smirked.
Tom shook his head and smirked, there were some things that Harry just *still* couldn't see . . . even amidst an anomaly.
Harry patted his friend on the shoulder. "The Captain . . . going against Protocols and the whole of Starfleet? I don't think so," he finished.
"To hell with Protocol, Chakotay!" Kathryn circled her Commander in her quarters. "Let's make love," she made a leap for him and landed with a thud on her bed.
Chakotay was ready to kill the doctor. He had suggested that since the Captain was such an important member of the crew, obviously, it made more sense that the Commander kept an eye on her. Besides, the EMH explained, she would be closer to the bridge that way for when they hit the anomaly.
"Kathryn," he looked down at the woman before him who had shrugged off her Starfleet jacket and was laying luxuriously on the bed, her hair loose and spread out around her shoulders. She stretched suggestively and looked up at Chakotay.
"I think you need to get some rest," Chakotay was sincere.
"Only with you in my arms," she said and smiled as she sat up. He sat down on the bed beside her and tried to ignore how she rested her head on his shoulder.
"This isn't a good idea, you know that *somewhere* inside of you, Kathryn," he said quietly.
"No . . ." she turned towards him and grasped his shoulders, "for *once* I know that this is *truly* what I want! Don't you see?" Her eyes searched his own.
"I see a woman who I love and care for under the influence of a spacial anomaly. My Captain would regret every moment of it," he said sadly.
"No I wouldn't . . ." she tried to hang onto him as he stood and turned to leave. "I wouldn't!" She cried out as he left. She sat down on the bed softly, " . . . *Kathryn* . . . wouldn't."
