SPRUNG A LEAK?
[Part 3]

"Captain," Seven stated, still working at a console. "You have yet to tell us of your own experiences with this ship-wide malfunction."

"That's because she hasn't had one," B'Elanna stated.

"The chances of that are one in--" Seven started.

Kathryn raised her eyebrows, "I'm just lucky that way, Seven."

"Luck is irrelevant," B'Elanna stated for the Borg and Kathryn sent her a warning look but softened it with a smile.

"Look, let's just fix the problem, shall we?" Kathryn suggested, trying to qualm the bickering women.

"Before your luck runs out?" B'Elanna teased.

"You could say that," she stated. "Besides, the Commander and I have enough to deal with without being soaked to the bone."

"The Commander has already been targeted by the random dispersement of the liquid--" Seven looked up, breaking off where she had been at, to find the other two women close by. "What is the meaning of this?"

"Spill the beans, Seven," Kathryn shrugged.

"'Spill the beans'?" Seven asked perplexed.

"She means, tell us what happened to Chakotay," B'Elanna edged forward a bit.

"Please?" Kathryn asked and watched as the Borg took a step back.

Kathryn punched in the override code to Commander Chakotay's quarters and waved to B'Elanna.

B'Elanna looked both ways and then snuck past Kathryn into Chakotay's main room.

"Seven," Kathryn stated quietly, still outside, "you know what to do."

"Aye, Captain," the woman was clearly displeased at this meaningless activity but would nevertheless work with Janeway on the matter.

Kathryn entered her own codes and rushed inside her quarters. Heading towards the bedroom she stopped near the far wall and knocked on it.

A faint knock, came in reply, from the other side of the wall. B'Elanna was in position.

Kathryn cleared her voice, and stated at a normal volume level "Testing 1-2-3. B'Elanna? Can you hear me?" It was followed with one knock and Kathryn swore aloud, heading back through her quarters to exit.

B'Elanna came out into the corridor in a rush, "Clear as daylight, Captain. Not to mention, there was a big wet spot and a leak near the wall." They had pinpointed the time and place of Commander Chakotay's demise.

"Do you realize," Chakotay stated and took the cup of coffee that Kathryn offered him. He turned to her as she sat by him on the sofa, and continued "I had to replicate two hundred and twenty four buckets today?"

"I wonder how we'll ever replenish the amount of energy we used?" Kathryn frowned. She had invited him to her quarters and he had willingly agreed.

"Besides, how did you ever get so lucky?" he asked.

"Lucky? I don't know what you mean?" she stated.

"You know what I'm talking about Kathryn. You didn't get yours," he rolled his eyes.

"You mean a leak? Oh yes, I know," she smirked and paused. "So--" she stated and set down her cup on the side table. Folding her hands, she smiled at him.

"'So'?" he countered.

"You have yet to tell me where you were and what you were doing when the leak hit?" she prodded.

Chakotay paused and sat back a little on the sofa, "I was in my quarters."

"Oh come now Chakotay, you had more descriptive measure for Tuvok's predicament than you do for your own?" she reprimanded.

"Kathryn--" he glared. "It was an embarrassing moment," he stated.

"No doubt," Kathryn eyed him.

"Is there something you want to tell me," he asked, keeping his gaze focused, unbudging in the visual war that was taking place.

"Nothing that I didn't say this morning," she said huskily and watched him swallow.

"This wouldn't have anything to do with-- you dreaming-- and--" he asked tentatively.

"Yes--" she drawled out.

"It was a little hard to ignore-- thin walls and all--" he added.

"Oh really?" Kathryn was going to get her revenge. She scooted forward and onto his lap. Straddling his hips, she brushed her lips against his, "Is this hard to ignore?" She had to face it, he was never going to make the first move.

Chakotay put his hand against the small of her back and pressed her to him, taking her lips for his own. Pulling away, he could feel the dampness that surrounded his lips, mixing her own with his. "Yes," he was barely able to state the damn word.

"This time," she felt her own breathing increase as his passion seeped forth, "there are no walls between us."

"It's about time," he laughed and pushed her back on the sofa, claiming her space for his own. "I was getting tired of waiting."

Indeed, Kathryn could feel his arousal growing against the juncture between her legs, showing his impatience. "Careful, Chakotay," she smiled and looked into his eyes, "or else you might spring a leak."

"Well then," he smiled and leaned down to be close to her, "at least you could say you finally got yours."
