Well apparently you want to know about me, so let's start with the intro. Online, I am referred to as Blanton (Cirith), or Blan for short. In life, my name is Mary and at school am sometimes referred to as "the General". I'm an elf from MD, USA.

I'm a published writer. I write fantasy orginals, LOTR and Dragonlance fanfictions, and poetry of many different genres and styles.

My motto is "Tiy pliyvee bestrashna" which is Russian for "Sail on fearlessly". I am 15; freshman at MGoretti HS. I enjoy alternative rock as well as gentler sounds such as Amethystium (which was recently introduced to me by Mar-chan) and Howard Shore. I'm a bit of an anime fan as of recently, and I still think Rivendell is absolutely beautiful. If anyone asks: Agent Smith is my hero. And as for my job? I work at a tavern with Strider ^^

I am attached to the languages of Latin and Russian; don't ask me why, because I haven't the faintest idea. But language is my strongpoint, and I'm drawn to it. This is probably why I enjoy writing in older-style form, because it's so much more flowing than modern English. Song lyrics also get to me in a special way. Song lyrics and poetry. Both of these hold a special place in my heart, right beside music.

I adore fantasy, as you have already witnessed. Fantasy lets you leave reality for a time; it gives you a solace from the harshness of realism. The everyday world is filled with restrictions and limits, but with fantasy you can come up with the most unthinkable and exotic idea and nothing would be there to hold you back. Creativity is a wonderful thing, and in fantasy writing you just let it run its course. The world of dreams is always there with you in your mind, even when the real world leaves you behind.

Lately I've been growing attached to Wiccan beliefs for my bond with the earth. True Wiccans understand my love of nature and beyond, and my facination with the silver circlet of the night sky; the moon. And I suppose only true Wiccans know of what I speak. That is what's so depressing about the modern world; no one appreciates nature anymore. This is what drew me to read the Lord of the Rings; the Elves' unison with nature. That is a concept I wish I could experience, but as a human I doubt I could ever quite feel nature's presence as they do. It was the way of the Elves in Tolkien's epic that made me realize how precious it really is, and I thank you for that, John. May you you be in happines wherever you are...

Oh dear Valar.. this was my freshman homecoming pic; taken at my house ofcourse.
