A Prayer for Francis
In the deliverance ministry one never knows when someone might need a deliverance prayer. Debbie had been going to a local coffee shop a couple of times a week for almost a year now. She had befriended this aging man named, Francis. He seemed to be the only one that seemed to care about what the consumer wanted and he would remember exactly how the regular customers liked their coffee. He always had a fascination in what his regular patrons were doing. He had become interested in Debbie's work with the Aware Foundation. He always offered to say prayers for anyone needing the Aware Foundation's help. He seemed to know when a regular was having a bad day and would touch their hand and say a simple "God Bless" Debbie would always leave there feeling somewhat better than when she came in. A few months back Debbie has assisted at a tough deliverance which had left her feeling very low. After mass the next day she decided to stop at the coffee shop hoping that her mood would be lifted. Francis was there and he gave her the usual touch of the hand and a "God Bless". Debbie left feeling a little better. A couple of days later Debbie went back and she saw Francis, but something was different in him, something had changed. He didn't seem to be his happy self and he seemed almost rude to Debbie and when she left there was no God Bless or touch. This went on for a few months, Francis began to say things against Debbie and against what she was doing with the Aware Foundation. Rev. Larry suggested that Debbie discern what, if anything was around Francis. So the next day she went in to the coffee shop and sat at one of the tables where she could see Francis. She discerned a demonic creature sitting close by Francis, it glared at Debbie. It was the same demon that she had seen at the exorcism a few months back that had left her feeling low. She then began to say a silent prayer asking God to help deliver Francis from what ever was around him. He had his back to her, but when she began to pray silently he spun around and glared at her in the same manner as the demon. It was a look of pure hatred. Debbie then left with out a word to Francis A week later she went back and was surprised when Francis asked her when she has started wearing her hair like that. She had been wearing her hair like that for months now. She began to wonder if maybe her prayer had been answered. Still she was cautious. The next time she went back, Francis was back to his old self. He asked about her work with the Aware Foundation and he again touched her hand and said "God Bless" as she left. |
