The Angry Man's House
A priest in a surrounding town called the Aware foundation to see if we could help a member of his parish with strange phenomenon that was occurring in her daughter's home. We called the woman. She was anxious and relived that we would be coming over so we made arrangements to see her later that afternoon. We arrived at the house and were greeted by the woman, her husband and their daughter, all who lived in the house. The daughter had lived there a few months and had reported footsteps, her name being called and a feeling of not being alone. Her sister had also lived there before her and she also admitted to a strange feeling of not wanting to be in the cellar alone. I asked for the history of the house and was told it was the oldest in the town. It had been occupied by a very angry man who would yell at the kids for walking down the street, he seemed to hate the world. When he and his wife passed the house went to his older son, who was unable to keep it and the town foreclosed on it. The family that contacted us bought it from the bank. The son, was so angry and said that he hoped no one would be happy in there, and that one day he would have the house back. The anger of both men was enough to keep the negative energy in the house after the family had bought it. The negative energy attracted the feelings that the family had felt. The whole house had been 'haunted' by the negative spirits. Then Larry vested up and took out his prayer book and began to pray. We started in the cellar and then went up to the main level and then we did the bedrooms. The whole house began to feel a lot better. The mother even reported that it did not feel so evil in the cellar. But she was worried that her daughter would still be afraid to live in the house. I explained to the daughter that she must take her house back. I told her that she was to make this a happy cheerful house and to try and not give any recognition to any noises that she heard. By giving any recognition to the noises would give recognition for the negative energy to return. We are happy to report that all is quiet and that the family had a wonderful Christmas, spirit free. Updated 9/26/02We have been in touch with the owners of house that was once owned by a very angry man. The previous owner of the house, which was the oldest in the town, had not wanted to be very sociable to his neighbors, he was always yelling at the kids. After his and his wife's deaths the house went to the older son, who was unable to keep it and the town foreclosed on it. The son was very angry and vowed that anyone that bought that house would not be happy in it and that he would one day own it again. After our initial visit and prayers, things quieted down. Neither the daughter nor her husband heard any more footsteps or felt any more presences. The daughter was able to be alone in the house and to once again feel that the house was her own. This summer the owner again contacted us, the daughter's husband had been transferred out of the area and they were going to be renting out the house. She wanted us to come over and to walk through the house to make sure that all negativity was gone so that the new tenants would be sure to have a peaceful home. We went over later that afternoon and the house was fine, we did pray in it to make sure. We have not heard anything from the owner or her tenants so we imagine everything is fine. |
