How to Take Ghost Photos

Most paranormal phenomenon can be captured by any sort of camera. Though the human eye can see some spirits, even more can be seen with a high-speed camera. Upon developing, you may be surprised to see orbs, mists and maybe even ghostly faces. If you visit our Paranormal Picture page, you can see examples of photos we have taken.

Of course a ghost can show up on any picture at any time of the day, but in our experiences, the best times to take pictures are anywhere from dusk to late at night. Being away from the sunlight will help avoid glare from shiny objects such as mirrors or glossy gravestones. The best camera to use is one that uses 400 film. This film is the best because it can work in almost any condition.

Some of the best places to take pictures are not just old cemeteries. Any old house, church or historic site can be a great place to take pictures. Being from the New England area, we see a lot of cemeteries with colonial history and can also find buildings that are still in existence from that time period. Check with your local town hall to find these historic places. Any cemetery or place that has some history can be a great place to capture some ghosts on film.

Other places might include hospitals and retirement homes. As sad as it may seem, these places are at times the places where people pass away and can be a great source for paranormal pictures.

If you are visiting a cemetery or building, please remember to adhere to the rules of the area. Do not trespass or desecrate these areas. Police do take notice.
