SatanismDefrocked priests started Satanism during the burning times, which was the burning of people at the stakes for witch craft. There are two main satanic denominations, many smaller traditions and many solitary practitioners. Satanists do not believe that a redeemer lives. They place emphasis on the power and authority of the individual Satanist. Satanists believe in Satan as a living entity but they claim no to worship or show any faith in him. They believe that all should live out their lusts and desires and enjoy exploring the seven deadly sins. Which is lust, gluttony, pride, covetous, anger, envy and sloth's, being lazy. As a symbol Satanist use a goat's head drawn with an inverted pentacle which is a 5 pointed star that has one point downward while two is up all of this has a circle around it. Local groups of Satanist may be called grottos, pylons or temples. Satanist use magic and other rituals to benefit themselves and their friends, but they also use rituals to harm their enemies. Satanist tend to be highly critical of other faiths especially Christianity. |
