Fantasy Books 1-10

The Sword of Truth Series

Wizard's First Rule

by Terry Goodkind

(Sword of Truth 1) This book is my favorite book of all time! Terry Goodking is a master of fantasy, yet this is his very first book! It has every possible element needed for awesome epic fantasy...great characters, fast-paced, tons of magic, surprises, and SO MUCH MORE! This is the best fantasy truly ever written! And guess what, 5 more follow it!

Stone of Tears

by Terry Goodkind

(Sword of Truth 2) Stone of Tears continues this awesome series without letting up! The story continues and still incorperates all of the elements in great epic fantasy! Terry Goodkind continues to deliver perfect and flawless fantasy!

Blood of the Fold

by Terry Goodkind

(Sword of Truth 3) Blood of the Fold, I must admit, is dissappointing. Even though it is the least favorable book in the series, you should still read it and continue the series...it gets better after this one...

Temple of the Winds

by Terry Goodkind

(Sword of Truth 4) In the fourth book in the SoT series, the plague sweeps the lands and Richard and Kahlan are taken on another fantasy-filled adventure that, again, seems to take them through Hell and back!

Soul of the Fire

by Terry Goodkind

(Sword of Truth 5) In this fascinating book, what are called the Chimes are loose upon the lands and the Imperial Order is raging! This continues the series wonderfully! Keep it up Mr. Goodkind!

Faith of the Fallen

by Terry Goodkind

(Sword of Truth 6) This book has not yet been released, but as you can see, I am VERY excited! This is due out on August 22, 2000; go to Amazon.com right now and pre-order this!

The Dreamland Series

Waking in Dreamland

by Jody Lynn Nye

(The Dreamland 1) This is a very interesting book; very unique. Jody Lynn Nye has spun a fun fantasy story that seems like Piers Anthony's Xanth with a 'funky punch.' This takes its place in the Dreamland, which is driven to existence by the Waking World. There are Seven Provinces, each dreamt by one of the Seven Sleepers. In this, a group of scientists take off with a giant alarm clock and head to where the Sleepers are said to Sleep to wake them up. These scientists are pursued by a group consisting of the princess, the king's advisor, and many more, to stop them. This book is interesting, and Xanth-readers will appreciate it.

School of Light

by Jody Lynn Nye

(The Dreamland 2) This is the second book of the Dreamland. School of Light is much different than the first book, concentrating on a new set of characters. This book focuses on Juele and the School of Light, a place for talented artists to learn to use their illusionary and influential powers. The characters from the first book show up occasionally, but the new characters are just as fun! This is a great read!

A Whisper of Wings

by Paul Kidd

This book is absolutely fascinating! Not only is this a brilliant book, it is also a wonderful insight on the science of culture. Paul Kidd has created a new species with a whole new culture filled with magic, fantasy, and magnificent ideas! This book as a triumph in the world of fantasy!

Exile's Song

by Marion Zimmer Bradley

(Darkover Novel) I admit that this is the first Darkover novel I have read, and that I was expecting something a bit juicy-er. Instead this book was a bit dry, even though it was an interesting idea. MZB has a wonderful talent for writing that I have seen elsewhere (Mists of Avalon). However, this book was still pretty good. The characters are interesting and makes for a good story. This is a bit slow, but it's okay.
