Featuring Li and the suitcase baby
Produced by some zurich based art & underground press syndicate. I can't tell how many were printed, but for sure not that much; and to find them today is nearly impossible, independent of it's condition.

underground printing "company".

This was the advertising poster for gigers fist book in 1971. The book was produced by a small underground like edition house. But the poster was made by a real 68' underground press printing community, it was only done for advertising in zurich. I know on of the guys who was involved there; now it's on old man. He told me how they produced in a really craftmanship way, maximum 100 of those avertising posters. Back than, Giger was a young artist among others; in that underground scene nobody thought about who he might be 30 years later; nobody cared to keep such a poster; even less asked him to get it signed. This poster is a piece of time history, of interest for any serious museum; it is in mint condition, it is signed.. It is the first official publication of Gigers suitcase baby; it is the only larger publication showing a real image of Li, Gigers muse and long time Girlfriend, which passed away a few years later...
It is a pure chance that I can offer this print; I got it for the first time a few years ago,
in a small bookshop in Gigers hometown.
recently I met by chance somebody which used to run a gallery for "new" art in the early 70's..
he was so wise too keep away a few copys of that poster, and to have Giger sign them..
All others where used to be glued to the walls to promote the book; a few were kept
by early fans of Giger; but then nobody thought of keeping it like a piece of art..
they were pinned at the walls, and got sooner or later destroyed..
The value of such an early poster is as high or low like the legendary psychedelic concert posters from the 60's..
