Info: Starbase is pretty much the most common defense base in the GA. It's also sometimes used as a space dock and quite commonly used as a living place, but mostly its duty is to protect large colonies or somehow important colonies, sometimes its mission is to protect some bases or other installations. Starbase was designed by Humans, but was then modified by Gigerdians, before the Dominion war. Starbases holded several Dominion attacks during the Dominion war and also holded many Lightness attacks during the Lightness war. Starbases have remained as one of the main defense bases because of their effectiveness.

Here's picture of Starbase in Space.

Recently, the superbase of the beta quadrant was attacked by the La’Fin, but the base destroyed the whole La’Fin fleet instead.

It was meant for the families which moved back from the Independent Gigerdi Federation back to the homeworld. It had comfortable homes for the new occupants. It has 2 main fusion reactors to power up the station and the other systems. The whole station had 20 major gardens, 20 minor gardens, 600 holodecks and the other usual comforts of a population starbase. The station has 4 major “blocks” for the occupants which is operated like a huge space city, the reactors are maintained by civilian maintenance personnel. Security is handled by the GA government. The station prime has never been attacked except once, when the crazed Daglian fleets attacked Gigerdi Prime, but failed in the attempt. Anyway, the Station prime still exists. It was heavily damaged during the Emissary attack, still they weren't able to destroy Station Prime.

It's one of the commonest starbase in the GA, maybe a bit more widely used than the Starbase. Freaker was designed during the Lightness war. Freaker like Starbase, is used as a colony or base protector, but is used to protect only larger colonies. Also it's used as a living station. First Freakers were built during the Lightness war and few of them were damaged or destroyed. Some survived from the war with no damage at all. IPA forces disabled few Freakers during the GA-IPA conflict. Currently quite a lot of Freakers are in service.

They have medium weaponry, but can’t really stand against an multi armada attack, many of the gigerdian colony worlds have these stations as their primary orbital defense. Although, the GA military strategic command has decided to decommission these stations and build a new capital-class station in its place. One of these stations were destroyed during the Lightness attack to the Gigerdi homeworld.

Min. crew: 100
Cargo space: 4 km³
Reactors: Five large Antimatter reactors and six large fusion reactors.
Info: When planet is colonized some colony protector is always built to there or at least nearby. Sometimes it can be Lighter class colony protector. It's not so heavy, but can withstand small or medium sized attack or at least hold them off as long as reinforcements arrive. Lighter was designed during the Dominion war to not to be so huge station, but more a medium sized station, which still would have good defense capabilities. Lightness destroyed and damaged quite a lot of these during the Lightness war, fortunatly most of them were evacuated before they were destroyed. Lighter still remains to be one of the GA's colony protector stations.

Reactors: Four large Antimatter reactors and five large fusion reactors.
Info: Neutralizers are long-range outposts that usually guard borders or specific areas. Neuralizers are also used to provide sensor and communication support. Currently these stations aren't much in use, but still quite a lot of these are located in different borders or just in some areas of space. They were designed a bit before the Dominion war started and then became quite used as a border outposts later they started to loose their position constantly and nowadays no more of them are built, but those that still exist have been left to stay there for sometime at least.

Here is picture of Neutralizer
class outpost.

Reactors: One large Antimatter reactor.
Info: Standard border outpost, small, but not so weak. These usually guard borders of Gigerdi Alliance.
Minor is only used as a border outpost and a lot of these are located all over GA borders, usually if borders change then these outposts are transferred to the location where the new border is. These were prime targets for Lightness at the start of the Lightness war, but later they seemed to left the border outposts alone, some were evacuated and left to operate with minimal crew. In the GA-IPA conflict, IPA disabled a lot of these stations, only one was destroyed, but Vemrer forces during the conflict. Lots of Minors are in the GA territories currently.

Here is picture of Minor class outpost.

Special Equipment: None.
Fighters: None.
Cargo space: 1,5 km³
Info: There were only 1 of these Collector classes made, it was at the end of the first gigerdi civil-war. The original idea was Kyle Gigerdi’s. Just when Kyle Gigerdi had formed the new state using the name “Independent Gigerdi Federation”, the mineral Dragonium was discovered at that time unknown Texian border. The Independent Gigerdi Federation decided that they would have an edge if they could control the new Mineral, so a new kind of station was constructed to retrieve the mineral, but it was sabotaged and destroyed just a few days after it was brought on-line by the infamous pirate leader “Gevu-gee”. The Collector was pretty huge, but had a lot of mining equipment in it so there weren’t any space for fighters of any kind. The bridge was situated at the front and the main reactor was situated at the back along with the quarters and recreational areas. It had some defenses, but was pretty alone when against the deadly invasion against the pirates.

Info: Scofi class is the standard science station in the GA currently. They are usually located orbiting planets, close to anomalies, nebulas, moons, asteroids or some other places that might require science station. It was designed after the Gorg war and has been upgraded quite frequently after that. New technology isn't usually created onboard science station, but some stations have been made to create new technologies. Always a base or ship(s) is protecting science stations, still the science station does have fighters to protect it from a small attack and the station also has good shielding. Quite a lot of Scofis are researching in the GA currently, a lot of Scofis are located in the Andromeda.

Here is picture of Scofi class science station orbiting a planet.

The design is quite old, it's not fully sure when this shipyard came into use, but it has been in service for a long time and probably will be. Shipyards also require protection, still some of these were destroyed during the Lightness war, Dominion war and Gorg war.

Here is picture of Gigerdian shipyard in space.
