Info: Oberth is the oldest and smallest science
vessels that are still in service. They really never work alone, but usually
more work as an assistor ships for
other science vessels. Oberths were designed about 20 years before the Gorg war.
U.F.S. Oberth was great science vessel at that time, since it located previously
unknown materials in planet Zeta Aquilae two. In the Gorg war and in the Dominion
war Oberths were even actively participating in the battles. However in the Lightness
war, Oberths were pretty much only used as a "targets". When Starfleet sent empty
Oberths as decoys and targets against the Lightness, sometimes they carried explosives.
These Oberths were even able to save number of planets from destruction. However
after the Lightness war, about 87.4% of all Oberths had been destroyed. Still
they continued to be in active service, assisting other science ships when needed.
Sometimes functioning as a scout vessels as well, but those versions have more
engines and posses jump drives.

Nebula Class

Info: Nebula was designed by Gigerdian-Human
science team not long after the Gorg war. Nebula then soon became the primary
science ship and at the beginning conducted studies at the Gorg homeworld. Nebula
was used by both Gigerdians and Humans, however Gigerdians used this ship more
at the beginning. During
the Dominion war, Nebulas also proved to be adequate fighters, even though
they couldn't handle any big ships alone. After the Dominion war, Nebulas were
able to continue their science missions again. However during the Lightness
war,
lots of Nebulas were damaged, however only few were actually destroyed. Still
Nebulas conducted studies on Lightness, even though they were rarely successful.
After the war, Nebulas once again became more important, still they were no
longer primary science vessels.

Info: Space is pretty much just a modified version of the Nebula class, with more
firepower and better science capabilities. It was designed by Gigerdian-Human
science team during the Lightness war. Space is a little better than the Nebula,
but still is less used than the Nebula class itself. However Space still is
one of the main science ships, and is used on some occasions. Most of the time
they assist some Nebulas or Researchers. Few Space classes were seen in the
GA-IPA conflict. Several Space classes were dispatched to the Emissary control
world to study it and monitor it.

Info: Researcher is the biggest science ship
in the Starfleet. Not many of these ships serve in Starfleet and they usually
go alone, or sometimes they are assisted
by Space classes. Researcher was designed during the Lightness war, to
be able to investigate Lightness locations and still be able to defend itself
if under
attack. Researcher is a lot more powerful than Nebula or Space and also has
a lot more science equipment. Researcher's speed is quite adequate, not so
fast, but not so slow either. It was designed only by Humans to be more powerful
and to have better science capabilities than any other science ship. Researchers
are the main science ships in Starfleet, even that not many of these serve
in Starfleet, but all those ships always have jobs in their hands.
