Unit Outline:
    A small, heavily armed sentry post, the Fas-Ma is much more geared toward combat action than the Zarkol. 

System Specifications:
    The main weapons of the Fas-Ma are the eight Aggrigated Fusion Pulse Cannon turrets.  While not nearly as powerful as the MGW, the AFPC turrets are useful at long ranges and can bring down most shields.  These eight weapons make the Fas-Ma a worthy opponent to any ship.
    The most powerful weapons of the Fas-Ma are its four Antimatter Catalysed Fusion/Fission/Fusion missle tubes.  These four ACF3 tubes have an incredible range and incredible destructive power.  The fact that their range is farther than even an MGW allows the Fas-Ma to damage or even cripple incoming enemies before it is in range of enemy weapons.
    The Fas-Ma is also armed with 8 Xaser turrets.  While the Xasers aren't very effective against capital ships, their high rate of fire and high accuracy make them very effective against fighters and bombers. 
    To round off its defensive armament, the Fas-Ma is equipped with 2 small hanger bays.  One hanger bays has room for 2 Faenok class interceptors, and the other holds a single shuttle.  The two fighters are used to help scout around the Fas-Ma, and can also escort the shuttle when it needs to get where its going and it is in very hostile territory.
    The Fas-Ma has an L-4 ArMax system, and a C-10 HiCS System.  This shielding and armor combination is sufficient to defend the Fas-Ma from most potential enemies.  While they are small systems, the fact that the Fas-Ma has no engines allows more power from the reactor to be given to the weapons and shields, making a small shielding system more effective.

Operational Capabilities:
    Fas-Mas are small defense platforms used to guard points where the enemies are known to be, and also placed to protect vital shipping lanes, outposts, and planets.  Towed to their destinations, they are usually set up in triads to cover all possible points of attack by enemies.  Lacking engines, they can accomodate a much larger amount of weapons than if they had to power engines also.  Though their defensive systems are small, so are the sentry posts themselves.  Their small size and heavy firepower allows them to drive off larger ships while taking little damage themselves.
