Project Summary:

Conversion/modification of existing On-Line Telephone Billing System


Current Week / Bottom of Page / SBA Calc
  • Week 1, 2/10 - 2/16.
    Goals: Review project requirements, getting up to speed with shop standards, administrative tasks i.e. ID's, badge, weekly status reports, LAN/TSO acess, ChangeMan Package & time reporting. Modify existing map, create copy book with SIM rtns.
    Tasks assigned; Modifications to PT0300/310 and PTM302, specs provided. N/A.
    Weekly Status: Badge issued, LAN/TSO acess granted, Reviewed project ChangeMan package (BB000656). Modified/reassembled existing map (PTM302A), gathered specs for current project (Customer Add Screen). 2-12, Added BB to SIMs Table (ETC 2/18).
    Problems: None to date.
  • Week 2, 2/11 - 2/23.
    Goals: Continue system review, complete Customer Add Program (PT0300), Move PZCZCALL into IO Moduale (PT8050). Email Time Sheets to TV.
    Weekly Status: Walking thru PT0300/XPED
    Problems: Unable to CEMT/New Copy of program, Resolution; Compiled program prior to exiting Xped & releasing comtrol, prior to compiling program exiting XPED set to 'Y' to release XPED's grasp on the program. Not auuthorized for Emerg Lib, preventing getting new copy of program (uses emerg libs.
  • Week 3, 2/24 - 3/02.
    Goals: Complete SIMS Request & testing, complete Customer Add Program (PT0300).
    Weekly Status: Testing SIMS Data extraction, Customer Info Screec aproximatly 50% completed.
    Problems: MANY.
  • Week 4, 3/03 - 3/08.
    Goals: Complete Customer Add Program (PT0300), problems encountered, see lessons learned.
    Weekly Status: Customer Add still in progress.
    Problems: Many.
  • Week 5, 3/09 - 3/16.
    Goals: Complete Customer Add Program (PT0300), start next assignment.
    Weekly Status: Customer Add Completed as of 3/20, started CMA modifications 3/19. User meeting held 3/13.
    Problems: None.
  • Week 6, 3/17 - 3/23.
    Goals: Complete assigned tasks ie, CMA additions.
    Weekly Status: CMA Modificaions in progress

  • Week 7, 3/24 - 3/30.
    Goals: Complete assigned tasks.
    Weekly Status: Map PTM36B coming up OK 1st time, PF11 option appears to be working (goes to PT0390 selects appropriate MM #). PF3 working.
    Problems:
    a) Returning from 'XML' account & bank nbr not saved. Corrected
    b) Transaction 'CDA' bank nbr saved in WS/Linkage field (need not enter bank nbr), transaction 'CMA' bank nbr only saved if entered in bank field.
    c) Hit enter, screen 36a, next screen partially hosed. Partially resolved.
    d) Returning from 'XML' recieving XML screen vice 36a error screen. Corrected, problem with code & program map field definitions.
    Systems Performance.
    Systems Outage:
    3/25 - System down(1130 - 1330).
  • Week 8, 3/31 - 4/06.
    Goals: Complete transaction PT01.CMA.
    Weekly Status: Payee Add changes coded, tested all but MASK additions. Started Payee Display coding (Map changes). Create testing docuuments for Customer Add, Payee Add & Payee Display modifications.
    Problems:
    a) Transaction 'CDA' bank nbr saved in WS/Linkage field (need not enter bank nbr), transaction 'CMA' bank nbr only saved if entered in bank field. Repaired via bandaid.
    b) Hit enter, screen 36a, next screen partially hosed. Corrected (map error fld20 wrong SRB value & msg fld in wrong line/Program field definitions not in line with map values).
    Systems Performance.
    04/04 - System sluggish, ChangeMan Batch jobs taking on average one - two hours.
    Systems Outage:
    3/31 - System down Unable to submit Compiles via ChangeMan(1130 - 1530).
  • Week 9, 4/07 - 4/13.
    Goals:Complete Payee Add testing (add accnt to merchant with mask). Complete code for Payee Display changes.
    Weekly Status: IP
    Problems: a) Screen/Tran PTM302/35 no error screen, bank nbr not retained in PTT-COM-BANK-NBR. Corrected. b) Populating User Codes questionably (code flds 2 - 6 set with '!' when adding a record). Corrected, Program PT0310 had old map definitions for PTM302.
    Systems Performance.
    04/07 - System sluggish, ChangeMan Batch jobs taking on average two - three hours.
    Systems Outage:
    04/07 - TSO Session clocking 1015 - 1050. System running at 100%.
    3/31 - System down MainFrame, Lotus Notes & InterNet.(0920 - 1600).
  • Week 10, 4/14 - 4/20.
    Goals: Complete Customer Merchant Inquirery & Customer Payment Inquiry screens, submit Time Sheet(3/30-4/12).
    Weekly Status: Continued progress on Merch display panels.

    04/07 - System sluggish, ChangeMan Batch jobs taking on average two - three hours, new record position 22970.
    Systems Outage:

  • Week 11, 4/21 - 4/27.
    Goals: Complete following tasks; Enhanced Merchant Inquiry Change Screen, Enhanced Customer Change Screen. Get questions answered pertaining to two new screens(CSI(PTM801/2) & CRI(PTM803/4) screens)/complete new screens. Submit Time Sheet(4/13-4/28)
    Weekly Status: CPI Scren & Programs 90% complete, User walk Thru conducted 4/24 (14 discrepancies discovered/10 of 14 discrepancies corrected as of 4/25). Time sheet submitted.
  • Week 12, 4/28 - 5/04.
    Goals: Complete screens CSI & CRI, resolve discrepancy list from last week, move package to production. .
    Weekly Status: Completed CSI screen & code.
    Problems: None
  • Week 13, 5/05 - 5/10.
    Goals: Complete contract without pissing anybody off, additionally complete CRI screen.
    Weekly Status: CSI Screen & Program Completed, CRI Screen & Program 85% complete. User testing scheduled for sometime next week.
    Problems: Difficulty in returning to main screen and accessing CHIP/VSAM file (EIB Rest of 12 when accessing). File access problem caused by deleted remote FCT entry for remote file, for more details see code page.
  • Week 14, 5/11 - 5/17 Extended.
    Goals: Complete all loose ends including CRI screen & user discrepancy list.
    Weekly Status: CRI screen & program completed (all but security access), user testing to begin 5/12/03. Five BUGs discovered (aka undocumented features), as of 5/13/03 4 of 6 bugs resolved. Security added to screen.
    Problems: None to date.

Program PT0010 - NA.
Program PT0050 - a)Sets 1st switch (internal tran array.b)Determines maps to be used. c)Maps each data field to appropriate Link/WS flds.
Program PT0060 - The CICS version of this program is invoked by PT0050 and will determine which PTT application program should be executed.
Error Map Requirements: If the error module is to return an error map to the screen, then the following items need to be set up prior to exiting from the program.
1. Number of data fields on the output map must be placed in PTT-COM-NO-MAP-FLDS.
2. PTT-COM-ERROR-SWITCHES must be set with numeric error codes for the fields in error, and with spaces for those fields that were entered and not in error.
3. The modified panel for the tranasction must have been moved to the OUTPUT-DATA-PANEL
4. The length of the OUTPUT PANEL must have been put in the PTT-COM-OUTPUT-DATA-LENGTH
5. PTT-COM-ERROR-MAP-SW & PTT-COM-ERROR-EXIT-SW must be set to 'Y'.
6. The invalid format code 0 must be entered move to PTT-COM-FORMAT-OUT to force PT0070 to use PTM071.

Corrected as of 04/02, Map sections must be correct, ie. input section/mod section & attr section. Map length correspond to program length fields. Note for input section & mod section the program has to areas that must have the same length.
