This is my first chronicle. GUess what it's a Xmas chronicle. Okay I don't
know what I ate for
being in that state when I wrote that, but it's completly crazy, completly
impossible and absolutly
funny... Read it you'll understand.
Yes at first it sounds like another of my boring Da'an/Boone S1 fics, but
read more than the first
two sentence please...
I was giggling alone in front of the computer when I wrote that. My father
was looking very
strangely at me. For this fic I like more the english version than the
french one.
Da'an's first Christmas or a conversation with a drunk alien...
Da'an observed the Humans who walked in the street, some meters down there.
Washington was
covered by snow. It was the 24th of December. Christmas's eve. The night
started to fall over the
place and everyone ran for return home in time.
The Taelons had nothing like that, such Holidays. She sighed. She had a
lot of work to do this
evening. The joy to be the American Companion. But fortunatly, she was
not needed outside the
Embassy or in another annoying Synod meeting. Liam had left after another
argumentation…again.
The young hybrid was probably enjoying his Christmas Holiday, his only
holiday, with his friends
now. She turned from the beautiful view of the orange-pink colored sky
and went to her chair in
the center of the room. She waved open an energy stream but right before
she could start to
read the data in the blue energy particles, another data stream beeped,
indicating that a call had
been received. With the graceful move of her hand that caracterized her,
she opened it and, to her
surprise, the face of William Boone appeared on the screen. She almost
jumped. She would have
imagine to see anyone, but him. But still, something deep inside her found
quite pleasurable that
he called her now, even if he broke the rules that they had together decided
of. She did not turn
for speak to him, mimicking anger.
"William, you know what Zo'or'll do if he discovers that you've called
here?" She asked him, in
her severe American Companion tone
"Yes I believe I doubt of what he'll do. But I wanted to know if you had
something important to do
tonight?" he replied, seriousful.
Da'an closed the other energy stream and turned to him. She just bowed
the head to one side
and blinked longly her eyes, in her typical Da'an-esque mood. William continued
: "Katya, me and
the few others Humans here, have organized a Christmas party this evening...
And I wanted to
ask you if you would be able to come…" he finished, a bright red on his
cheeks.
She smiled, amused by the expression on his face. "A date? It'll be a pleasure."
She just had the
time to see the mesmerized look in his eyes before cutting the line.
Da'an stepped down her chair, slowly, but hesitated as she came near the
portal. She had much
work to do, in fact, a lot too much for allow herself to leave for a whole
night, as she was surely
about to do. But her straight American Companion side was fastly defeated
by the Da'an part.
She flashed a slight smile and entered the coordonates in the portal.
The light and the familiar feeling of debalancing surprised her, as always,
and she lost control of
her form during a moment. She materialized in the Antartic Head Quarter.
Nobody was in the
portal room where she arrived. She heard a strange noise in the piece close
to the one she was
in. Da'an entered, curious.
A big Christmas tree was in the center of the room. Katya and William finished
to pass long
garlands around the lower part of the tree.Boone saw her and sent her a
charming smile.
Everyone had something to do there, Humans as Taelons. The most part of
them were decorating
the room. The Marashis were not here though.
Boone invited her to approach with a gesture of the hand. She was barely
able, walking through
color papers and decorations that were covering the ground.
"I did not believe you would agree to come," said Will, once she was close to him.
"It would appear that I came," she answered, amused. Katya, hidden by the
tree green form,
looked at the two of them, a wide smile on her lips.
"You help me?" added Boone some seconds later. She bowed the head to one
side again, in a soft
reprimand. Sometimes, the man could forget that she was a Taelon and the
American Companion
in the same time. Despite all, she loved the friendship and the simplicity
she could permit herself
with him. She sighed in acceptance in front of his strong willing.
William nodded to Katya and Erick. The medium closed the eyes as the man
did. Boone and Da'an
felt to be lifted in the air. They both, staggered a little. You could
never get really used, but if you
were born with, to this way of moving. Will concentrated and moved in the
air for get close to
Da'an. The ground was five meters down. Not a dying fall, but still some
piece of their body to
break if they fell down.
The Human showed to the Taelon how decorate the tree. He and Katya had
already put the lights
there. Da'an took a good pleasure to do it and they spent just fifteen
minutes to do it all.
Fortunatly, because Katya and Erick started to get a little tired.
It was the night outside. Boone went toward one of the walls and pulled
down a switch. The
'celling' became suddenly invisible, virtual glass probably, for show the
full of stars sky of the
Antarctic. He also shut down all the lights in the room. Then Katya went
to the tree and lit up
something. The thousand of little lights illuminated themselves, and the
smalls crystal things they
had placed in the tree.
Many Taelons changed of forms in astonishing. A whisper of wonder sounded
in the room. In the
darkness, Da'an felt Boone's hand searching for hers. She queezed his fingers
between hers,
thanked him mentally for a so beautiful view. And he thanked her to have
come.
€
They spent the rest of the evening speaking and giving gifts. Almost all
the Taelons were returned
to their buisness. Only a few of them had stayed for the party in the night.
Da'an had stayed.
Finally the moment of celebrate came. It was almost ten PM. The virtual
glass celling showed the
drak blue sky. The romm was only lit by the lights in the tree.
The music started to play and all the Humans who knew dance precipitated
on the dance floor.
The Taelons gathered fastly in a small group, speaking quietly about those
Humans celebrations
in their natural language. And they did not know dance.
Da'an went away from the group of Taelons and just walked to the virtual
glass window. She
waited only a couple of minutes before William came toward her.
"Merry Christmas Da'an," he simply told her. She turned for face him, a
small smile floating on
her lips.
"You too William. And I thank you for the invitation," she responded.
He stepped closer, "It's nothing if I think to what you've done for me."
He stopped talking and
turned for look at the 'dance floor'. It was nearly midnight. Everyone
was tired and the sober
state lowered fastly. The song Imagine of John Lennon shot the soft piano's
notes in the air. Will
turned back to Da'an. "You dance?" he asked her, suddenly very serious,
taking her hand in his
own. She lost her Human appearance for a second and fixed wide eyes on
him.
"I don't know dance," she replied, looking fasly shocked.
"And!" said Will softly. Da'an understood that she would not take it away
this time. She sighed and
let Boone hold her hand in his. Just then she remarked that he had already
got off his shoes from
a moment now.
"Wait," she whispered to him. She stepped away from him and just took off
her boots. Damn she
hated those so…! He looked as she did so, a wide smile on his lips. She
had now a couple of
inches on less. Her feet did not seem to can take a Human appearance. They
were looking
Human, but made of the same blue-ish energy than the rest of her natural
form.
Amused, he took her hand in his and took her to the dance floor. They were
facing each others.
He passed an arm around her waist and brought her closer to him. She seemed
surprised but let
him do. He told her to do the same and she did so, even more astonished
by what SHE just did.
He melted his fingers with hers. A kind of sharing was initiated by that
contact, their thought
became one of the same. Da'an knew that the Human was a little affected
by the alcool. She let
her head fall on his shoulder.
Boone was surprised. He had never seen Da'an…like that. He liked it a lot
but it just seemed so
strange, so abnormal. He had always seen Da'an serious and diplomat.
After a moment Da'an raised the head for meet his stare. She closed her
eyes for a second, then
blushed and said : "Why do you think to me as female William?" she asked,
very seriously
though. "You know than the Taelons have not what you call 'gender'."
"You had lied to me before but this one beats them all," he whispered back, all but serious.
She sighed soundly, as she wanted not to start this conversation, again,
with him. "Your specie
have gender, don't they?" he asked her another time, but with a little
more seriousness in his
voice.
She smiled and leaned forward to whisper near to his ear : I trust that
you'll be able to keep that
for yourself." She stopped as she reflected about what she was going to
say. "We don't
have…gender, as you said, but we have… how can I say… roles. We reproduce
only one or two
time during our life and we don't know if we'll… carry the child or impregnate
our… partner. In
Human language, that's mean we're androgynous. But, the Kimera are being
with genders. And
by my Kimera part I can consider myself as female." She had an odd smile
on her lips. They
were still dancing around each other, very close. Will was not sure to
see well but he found
Da'an's smile to be… seductive or tantalizing.
They were still dancing, eyes in eyes, when the song stopped.
€
A hour later…
Boone had received many gifts, from almost all Humans. Katya had offered
him a little yellow cat
that ran all around the place and seemed to particulary love Da'an. A good
part of the people
there had gone back to their quarters for the night. And the ones still
there were all in a advanced
drunk state. Da'an was the only Taelon who had stayed.
"I'm sorry William, but I've no gift for you," said Da'an.
"And I've no gift for you Da'an.But your presence is the most beautiful
gift you could give me," he
whispered to her, very low. She lost her Human facade. But she frowned
as she saw something
that… interested her.
Boone had a glass of champagne in the hand. She was absorbed byt the sight
of the little bubbles
in the soft white liquid. She took the glass from Wil's hand, he was surprised
and a little worried
but he let her do. She could not taste or smell. But she could sense the
feeling of the liquid in her
throat and the tingling of the bubbles on her tongue as she drank a sip
of the golden wine. Da'an
was, almost intantly, feeling a strange sensation in her whole body. 'I'm
drunk' thought the logic
part of her mind. She drank another time before Boone could take back his
glass for finish it
himself. 'It's not so bad finally' replied the Da'an-esque part. She did
not know that the alcool
would have this effect on her.
"The Taelons can drink?" asked Boone, himself in a very…non-sober state.
"It seems that yes," answered a Da'an not very more lucid.
€
It was nearly five in the morning. Everyone, or almost, had gone back in
their chambers. The
only ones who rested was some peoples who were making love in the corner
on the couches.
William and Da'an were there too. They were lying on a couch, talking and
laughing together. Do
I need to say that they were completly drunk.
Da'an was turning his back at Boone who had passed his arms around the
Taelon. They laughed
for no reason.
"It's late," remarked Boone.
"Yeah…" responded Da'an. She turned in his arms for face him. He passed
his arms even more
tightly around her, bringing her closer. William locked his eyes with hers.
The look in her eyes
was different than usual. She could not control her appearance, and so
he saw her real eyes. Two
big blue orbs.
Da'an turned on her side and extended her hand for catch the champagne's
bottle that was on the
floor. She brought it to her lips and sent a great sip of wine in her mouth.
"Hey, hey, hey," Boone interrupted her, "You've drank enough for tonight,
dearest," he said as he
took the bottle from her hands. Da'an frowned. Boone let the bottle fall
on the ground, and it
broke in thousand of little green pieces.
"William, you stupid, you broke it," said Da'an weakly. She leaned over
the edge of the couch for
look at the Elle manqua de tomber et Boone la rattrappa en passant un bras
autour de sa taille.
"Stupid? You should not speak, dearest…" he whispered back with false anger in his voice.
"One, stop calling me dearest and two…I forgot it…" Da'an replied, trying hard not to laugh.
"Yes I'll stop calling you 'dearest' my dearest Taelon. We're both drunk you know?"
"Yah, I know," she responded. Boone was almost unable to understand what she said.
"I'll tell everyone I saw the American Companion drunk," Will said half laughing.
"No you'll not because you're the more gentle man I ever met and you'll
never do such a thing,"
she murmured, sleepy. "I love Christmas, I think," she added more strongly.
"That's the most wise thing you've said since a while," he nodded. William
started to find Da'an's
presence so near of him… very interesting. She had said she was female
after all. Long ago she
had undo the turtle neck of her purplre jumpsuit, and when she moved he
could see her white
shoulders. He could not ressit and started to run his hand on her delicate
Taelon's body. She
turned to face him as his hands became more searching and soft.
"William what are you doing?" she said softly as he continued to stroke her back and shoulders.
"Don't you like it?" he replied innocently.
She seemed confused - I mean even more confused that she already was. "I
don't know…" Da'an
tentatively raised her hands to stroke his cheeks and her hands slowly
moved to his neck. Small
sparcles of blue energy lightened Boone's skin for a moment, making him
feel oddly good.
"Stop it, or I'm going to kiss a drunk Taelon," whispered Boone, closing
his eyes in pure delight.
She ceased her little seductive trick and sagged against him, accepting
again the slight strokes of
his experts hands. Da'an looked around her and she remarked the dress that
Will had offered
Katya. This one had gone in her chamber without taking it with her. It
was a long white dress,
very long. She raised penibly, stagering on her shaking legs.
William extended his arms for takes her back, thinking that she went away
from him, that she
was shocked or upset. But she freed from his embrace. "Wait a second,"
Da'an whispered in his
ear. She walked as good as she could, nearly falling a couple of times.
She took the white dress
in her hands. She passed near two persons who were in the middle of a french
kiss, sighing
softly. She stared with the same seductive look and smile to William and
disapeared after the
corner of the wall.
Boone frowned and raised on his elbow, trying to see what she was doing.
When he saw Da'an come back, he needed to force himself for not let his
jaw fall open of five
centimeters. Da'an was wearing the dress he had gave to Katya. She was
in her natural blue
energy form that projected stranges forms on the white material. He had
never seen her witth
something other than the usual, personnaly he found it quite ugly, purple
Taelon jumpsuit. She
hold the low parts of the clothe in her hand for not fall. She had still
some problems with her
balance. She walked toward him. She had the same tantativing look in her
eyes. This stare that, if
she was a woman, he would have call seductive. He scanned her with his
eyes, from the toes to
the head, and sent her an appreciative look. Will invited her to come back
with him on the couch.
She did so and soon she was laying with him again.
"You're so beautiful, my favorite alien…" Boone whispered, looking serious this time.
"Thank you," she looked at him up and down, "and you're not too bad either."
William leaned forward and kissed her neck. "Thank you," he murmured in
her ear, "It's one of
the better Christmas I've had since a while." He kissed her another time,
more longly. His hands
were still stroking her back and shoulders. She just let her head fall
on his shoulder letting him
do. Even being drunk, he was amazed that she let him do that. He was about
to proceed for
more, but he felt suddenly so asleep. He layed back on the couch and she
followed the move,
laying in his arms.
"Merry Christmas William."
"Merry Christmas Da'an."
No. I'll deceive you all who wanted sex and all but it never went more than that.
And when Boone woke up the next morning, he remembered almost nothing of
what had
happened during the night and had the worst headache of his life. He extended
his arms for touch
Da'an, who, logically, would be still laying beside him. But the Taelon
was not there. She had
certainly woke up during the night and return to the Washington Embassy.
The white dress she
had wore was on the couch Da'an had took it, just like nothing had happened.
What he remebered made him flush a bight red. Fortunatly, he almost did
not see Da'an during
the next week and they spoke to each others only two weeks after. And when
they did so, they di
not talk of what had happened this night. All came back to where it was
before, they had the
same friendly respect toward each others, a little oficial maybe.
Nothing indicated that they were, now, much more than just friends.
