MST3K Bios!

Here are just some quick bios of most of the characters who have been on the show.

Joel RobinsonJOEL ROBINSON
Here's Joel Robinson (Joel Hodgson), a normal janitor working at Gizmonics Institute... until he got shot into space! He was the first host, as well as the creator of the bots. Joel is very bright, inventive (he did start the invention exchange after all), and he has a great sense of humor. However, he left the show during the fifth season via escape pod found in a box of Hamdingers.

Tom ServoTOM SERVO
Tom (orignally voiced by Josh Weinstein, then Kevin Murphy) is the little red guy and is my favorite bot. He's got a great singing voice and neat arms... that don't work. Confusingly, now you can't see through his head in the theater, but during the KTMA era you could. And where are his eyes?

Crow T. RobotCROW T. ROBOT
Crow The Robot (orignally voiced by Trace Beaulieu, then Bill Corbett) is the wisecracking gold robot. He's very funny, although not too bright when he tried to tunnel his way out of the satellite. Anyway, he's pretty brave (especially when he volunteered to be frozen as a Christmas tree in K05).

Crow, Gypsy, and Tom!GYPSY (she's the tall purple one)
Gypsy (orignally voiced by Jim Mallon, then Patrack Brantseg) is a more intelligent robot. She runs the higher functions on the SOL (like flying the satellite around Earth in orbit) so that's why she doesn't watch the movies... and also because she has kind of a goofy voice. However she did get to watch the movie in #412 "Hercules and the Captive Women".

Cambot (Seasons 5.5 - 10)CAMBOT
Cambot is almost never seen... because he's filming the show! His appearence has changed over the years, but his job stayed the same.  This picture of Cambot is how he looks during the "later years" (Seasons 5.5 - 10).

Mike Nelson, Crow, and a Time MachineMIKE NELSON
It's Mike Nelson (Michael J. Nelson), a normal temp working in Deep 13. After Joel left, Mike took over in his spot. Although, not as inventive as Joel, Mike is a very friendly host who has enjoyed some good times with the 'Bots. Oh look, there he is with Crow and a time machine.

Dr. Clayton ForresterDR. CLAYTON FORRESTER
Dr. Forrester (Trace Beaulieu) was the original Mad who wanted to rule the world. He was teriffic as a crazy mad scientist, who... I guess loved the color green! Dr. F.'s little hideout was Deep 13, the subbasement of Gizmonics Institute, where he sucessfully stayed for six years without getting caught. He left at the end of the Seventh Season.

DR. LARRY ERHARDT
Dr. Erhardt (Josh Weinstein) was Dr. Forrester's first assistant. Together they worked behind the experiments as well as making some truly wacky invention exchanges! Mysteriously, Dr. Erhardt "went missing" right after the first season and I kinda miss him.

TV's FRANK
TV's Frank (Frank Conniff) was Dr. F.'s second asstant who was more of a... "friendly" Mad. Well, he at least got to "push the button" at the conclusion of each episode. TV's Frank was with the show from the Second Season to the Sixth Season.

PEARL FORRESTER
Pearl (Mary Jo Pehl) was Dr. F.'s mother who helped him out after TV's Frank left. Then when the show moved to the Sci-Fi Channel, she became the main Mad.

BRAIN GUY
Brain Guy (Bill Corbett) was introduced during the Sci-Fi Channel era. He is an observer from another dimension who works with Pearl. He also carries his brain around in a small dish.

PROFESSER BOBO
Bobo (Kevin Murphy) was also introduced during the Sci-Fi Channel era. He is a large talking ape-man from the future who also works with Pearl.
