HISTORY: A copycat group of Canada's Weapon X program, Neo-X was run by it's former head doctor, Joseph Jero. Jero was a truly mad scientist, an insane man who had been discharged after his experiments on normal humans to turn them into mutant soldiers resulted in hideous and embarrassing monsters. Jero set his sights on Weapon X escapee Wolverine, and when he came into possession of the Atom Cell he saw the perfect opportunity to turn Logan into the soldier he knew she could be. He hired mutant mercenary Toad to lure Wolverine and the X-Women to his lab, but in the end the X-Women were wise to his scheme and Wolverine escaped, destroying the Neo-X compound. Jero himself was killed by Mr. Sinister, who saw the mad doctor as infringing on his genetic territory. |
