POWERS: Nathan has a permanent psionic dampening field around his body, making it impossible for him to make any sound with his movements. Anyone who passes into his field is also silenced. He can also 'darken' this field, making himself completely black and able to blend into shadows. Nathan's voice is modulated on a different frequency from a normal human's, making it possible for him to speak through his dampening field.
WEAPONS: Gloves with adamantium alloy talons attached to the fingers.
HISTORY: Growing up in an emotionally abusive family, Nathan was ordered never to speak inside his house. In an ironic turn of events, his mutant power made all his actions completely silent. After a childhood of being tortured for his mutation, Nathan escaped, but fell easy prey to Weapon X and it's super-soldier program. Along with mutants Deadpool, Wolverine, Sabretooth and myriad others, Weapon X attempted to turn Nathan into the perfect assassin. His psionic dampening field and ability to turn his body completely black made him ideal for the program, and Nathan became an accomplished killer. The first time he was sent into the field, however, he refused to kill the man he had been sent after and ran away from Weapon X. Nathan survived as a mercenary for a time, only killing those whom he believe to be guilty and trying to exorcise his personal demons. He wandered into the X-Women's lives while they were vacationing in Paris, and became a quiet fixture at the mansion. When mad bomber James Perish began targeting mutants with his explosives, Nathan was temporarily named leader of Gold Team and was instrumental in capturing the madman.
