| Press Release A new Sci-Fi and Fantasy Fan Club gets ready to open its doors to all of Fandom and the World. Atlanta, Georgia, June 1, 2000: A new Sci-Fi fantasy fan club has now opened its doors to all of Fandom. Nova Fleet was the brain child of Stephen Morozosky. As a dissatisfied member of several different Fan Clubs, Stephen was angry at the petty politics of the clubs he was with. So Stephen decided to take the best from those clubs and start a new one. One dedicated to the thought that all clubs should be FUN and not plugged up by politics. · Nova Fleet is dedicated first to FUN. There is no place in this club for discrimination. The idea was to have something BURN away all of the politics and discrimination that was so prevalent in other clubs. A Nova is a very bright and hot star, so what better to use to shed light on and burn away the night that clouds most other clubs. Thus Nova Fleet was born. And with its birth a new dawn has come to the Sci-Fi Fantasy World. So as this new dawn arises and sheds its light to welcome all of the Sci-fi and Fantasy clubs to come embrace its simple precepts, we can only see this star getting brighter and brighter as this news travels the globe. · Nova Fleet engages in service to the community. They have done events such as : - Food Drives for the Hungry - Toys for Tots - Blood Drives - and many others. |
| NOVA FLEET BASE RULES International Sci-Fi & Fantasy Society Nova Fleet is a International Sci-Fi Club, based currently in Atlanta, Ga. We have no dues. We have local chapters in the US. Also several chapters in foreign countries. Each chapter is it own club, governed by its own Rules and By-laws. Nova Fleet is an umbrella which only covers all, but does not get involved in the internal affairs of it members. But only by invitation of the local chapter/members or the problem can not be solved locally, will the High Council get involved. We want all Sci-Fi to be represented. Babylon 5, BattleStar Galatica, StarWars, Space 1999, Dr. Who, X-Men, etc. The Nova Fleet is dedicated to FUN. We do community service by working with other Non-Profit Organizations, like Toys of Tots, Blood Drives, Food drives, and other events, like bank & store openings. Discrimination by anyone to anyone or group is not tolerated in any way shape or form. Anyone doing so will be dismissed from the organization. |
