STORMTROOPER ARMOUR COMES IN HANDY

Forget the bulkiness, the limited movement, the incredible heat, and the vision impairment; armour saves stormtroopers' lives. Last Thursday while patrolling the streets of Coruscant, a rock, thrown by a rebellious man who was obviously disturbed, bounced off the upper arm armour of trooper TK-560. TK-560 was unhamred and immediately returned fire.
"If not for the armour," TK-560 told reporters Friday, "That rock could have hurt my arm, even to the point of bruising it."
An Imperial Command spokesman stated, "This makes it clear that the number of lives saved by stormtrooper armour clearly outweigh the relatively few thousand who die from heat stroke and the inability to dodge enemy fire."

TK-560 may not be able to bend over or sit down, but he's glad to be encased in 80 lbs. of plasteel.
