The first time I read Batman Comics I read about Mr. Freeze and his ice gun.  When I saw this CORPS! figure and his weapons it hit me like lightning...CRYO-VIPER!  A special weapons operative who is an expert in cryogenics.  I wanted to  limit the colors to white, blue and black so that he would even look cold.
