Armored Core 2 was supposed to be a sequel to the first Playstation hit. Instead, we get yet another upgrade with high-resolution graphics. One of the best aspects about the game has remained. That being that you will still be able to customize your own mech. In Armored Core 2, you will blast your way through an array of levels or stages in single player modes, one-on-one battles, and arena competitions. Sound familiar? It should. The controls in the came are stellar, but can seem unresponsive when you are being fired at. Too bad great graphics are not the only thing that carries a game. I mean, game play counts a little right?

Graphics: 9.5 (One of the best looking Mech games to date)
Sounds: 8.0
Game play: 6.5 (Unresponsive controls, and sluggish movements can hurt)
Overall: 7.5 (Not bad, but next time an actual sequel would be nice)
