Ryi has short black hair, almost a buzz cut. Her eyes are a pale hazel, almost gold. She is about 5'7" tall, with a quick sense of humor and a bit of an attitude. (She doesn't hesitate to tell you if she thinks you're acting stupidly, in other words.) She's 29 turns old, and acts her age.
Ryi was a traveler before her Impression of Shanseth, and now she has Impressed three Firelizards, a green & two browns, as well. She wandered about as much as is possible with Thread falling, sometimes "hitching rides" with Dragon Rider friends of hers. She had connections, even back then. One time, due to her own young sense of invincibility, she waited too long & ignored warnings of Thread fall, and was caught out. She nearly lost her left arm, and has severe scarring.
While recuperating in a helpful Hold, she met a young orphan by the name of Marc. Since no one in that Hold really wanted to care for him, Ryi adopted the boy, and took him with her until she was Searched. Now, he lives here in the cavern with Ryi and Shan.
Ryishak was Searched while staying in a Hold on the coast, and brought to Mooncrest Weyr for the Hatching. She failed to Impress, but was still there when a newborn dragon was abandoned. She was lucky enough to Impress little Shanseth the second time around.
